Thank you Brady Berge!

Not surprised by this. Berge had some really tough luck with injuries (broken leg in high school, the serious concussion, and most recently the knee ligament(s)) that really hindered his wrestling progress The concussion in particular was a setback, both to wrestling and (more important) possibly to long term health.

Really too bad that it didn't work out better for him (and PSU) on the mat, but obvoiusly he's got to consider his long term health and well-being. Best wishes to him.

...good luck and improving health for you in your future...
... you exemplify what it means to
have “the heart of a Lion!”... :)

Thanks for everything Brady. Wrestling is so trivial in the grand scheme of life and he's on to much better things. One day, when he is running around with his kids, he'll know he made the right decision.

I did not know his medical history well. Knowing he had multiple concussions, it is a good decision for
him to move on. I am sure glad he is graduating and hopefully will have an outstanding post
wrestling career. It sure takes lots of dedication to wrestle at a top tier program like PSU and it sure looks like he
gave it his all but was injury prone. Good luck to him .Who will take his place in the lineup?

Could this be the chance of a lifetime for Barraclaugh? Thank you Brady for your wonderful career and you are a true penn stater

Hey! The new site has a “Similar Threads” section below. The top two similar threads are “Brady Berge update” and “Thank you Brady Berge!”

Bummer, he was such a good kid and was just finally starting to hit his stride and show the potential he possesses. He sure looked like he could have Top 4'd this year

Little Bro sure looks like a hammer, I hope this doesn't have a negative effect there, it certainly helps having siblings living and training together. Hidlays, Lees, Valencias, Finesilvers....

Best of luck Brady!!!!! Thank you for contributions to the program & the sport

Fingers crossed...a packed Rec Hall next season gets to show Brady our appreciation of him during the break in one of the matches, maybe even senior night.

Obviously he has a good head on his shoulders and a bright future in front of him. Not easy as a twenty something to step away from something you are outstanding at doing.

I am personally saddened to see Brady's career end prematurely. But he's an exceptionally fine young man by all accounts and will do well in whatever he ends up doing. I'm sure his future won't just measured by his career alone, but by the lives he influences as well. God bless and guide you, Brady!
