In Jim Carlson's 1/8 article (CLICK HERE) there was the following:

Teasdale's immediate competitive future remains in limbo. "There are open tournaments pretty much every weekend moving forward. We're going to have dual meets every weekend as we start the Big Ten schedule. So, possibly soon but possibly not at all, so I know that's probably not the answer you want to hear," Sanderson said about the possibility of the true freshman and four-time PIAA champion stepping on the mat.

We're often left scrambling to figure out if any PSU wrestlers are going to be competing at Opens, and this gets even more challenging as PSU's B1G schedule kicks in this month.

To make the scrambling process a little easier, I'm posting below a list of Opens that are slated for the coming weeks. However, I don't have a lot of time to devote to looking for all the Opens, and checking which Opens and Invitationals are truly open to all college wrestlers, and which have Open/Classic/Whatever in their title but are restricted to certain teams, certain leagues, or some other limitation. So I'm posting this now, and hope that some of you with additional time will respond to it with Opens I should add to the list. In a few days/a week or so, I'll take all the suggested additions that meet the criteria (which includes being close enough to PSU that PSU wrestlers would find it worth it to drive to for a 1-day tournament), add them to my list, and pin a post with the info at the top of the board.

Jan. 12 - Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Classic (Millersville Univ.)
Feb. 2 - Edinboro Open (Edinboro Univ.)
Feb 2 - Messiah Open (Messiah College)
Feb. 10 - East Stroudsburg Warriors Winter Open (East Stroudsburg Univ.)
Mar. 2 - National Collegiate Open (Smyrna High School, Smyrna, DE)

Teasdale has been reported to be registered to the SHMC this weekend! So too Verk and Mason

Im so confused. The poster said registration was on track, which it isn't as far as I can tell, but then he posts a screenshot of the names and its consistent with Roar's Verk and Manville info.

Now the screenshot shows Teas, and a bevy of other PSUers. Is that guy just trolling w/ photoshop? I can't find Shorty Hitchcock for this year anywhere on Track.

screenshot says 7:34am. I think it's more likely that the CaelGB had public registration information wiped clean from the internet by 8. Great screengrab by 247 poster.

Seriously? "posted on the other board" = "reported to be registered". Might be...but that's an irresponsible leap.

Whatever. Just what we need another Barney Fife.

I am not looking for a Pulitzer. This is of huge interest to all, and relevant news. 80% of what is posted to this board is unreliable in the beginning, to be either confirmed our refuted later.

So tired of hearing about Gavin when we got a cast of stars to celebrate and enjoy, some of the greatest we’ve ever seen in their final year. Wake me when Teas takes to the mat for us, until then zzzzzz.....
Though I'd love to know what's going on with Teasdale, I agree....the speculation is getting exhausting.

at times, when discussing rumors, not all posts are 100% accurate. That said, far, far more than 20% of what is posted on this board is reliable at the time that it is posted.

@RoarLions1 deserves a lot more respect than you have afforded him.

I'm not buying the Teasdale registration claim. If it was true flo would have reported on it and Cael would have called them out on doing so. ;)

I mean, what can we say about Bo or Nolf that hasn't been said thousands of times before? Gavin Watch isn't going to affect my viewing experience this evening.

That's what I love best about track, so easy to navigate. o_O

And direct links always work too...

Look, I understand the annoyance factor w/ all the GT discussion--and I agree, if the kid needs space and less limelight, I'm glad the coaches are doing what they can. But to insinuate that folks here are singularly obsessed with him is a little off too. We never talk about Jason Nolf or RBY or Bo Nickal? Eh, no.

Maybe all the Teasdale talk is taking any unwanted pressure off of the rest of the team. It's not bad press just intrigue.

Hahaha, I think I just got so jaded by the 102 page Suriano thread that these situations exhaust me even though they’re entirely different. I just like to watch wrestling and talk about what we got I guess.

Understood.

Really, taking a shot at Roar? And point by point let's look at your post. 1) I think you are looking for the Pulitzer version of posting on this board because your posts are in general incessantly long and come off as you being all knowing or offering insight that you believe to be correct, 2) how big news is and it's relevancy is judged by each reader yet you seem to want to tell us that it is huge and relevant to everyone, and 3) you might be responsible for 79% of the unreliable information.

Hmm, why in the world would he be wearing a PSU singlet? I can't think of a single reason that he would. Seriously, not one.

Not sure if you being serious or not?

If he wearing singlet, he attached, school paid and we can expect him to take mat for us this year.

If no PSU singlet, shirt is still in tact and we'll know when we know

That is why Cody Law missed the second semester of wrestling for UPJ when he transferred. He wore a PSU singlet in one of the opens he wrestled in before the transfer.

Absolutely serious. Why would they have him wrestle attached and blow his redshirt when they don't have to. I repeat there is NO reason to have him compete attached until he has to. What it tells the fans is irrelevant to the coaches decision to wrestle him attached or unattached in this tournament.

Don't make me have you call me Sir Pish again..

I bring it up not because I care one way or another but because there is a cost involved to going unattached. Also, if the plan is for him to wrestle this year, why not pay for the costs and have him wear the singlet? That's all I'm saying. He was attached at Scuffle was he not?

I recall someone seeing the point made that if PSU paid for GT's trip to the Scuffle, which some believed to be the case, his redshirt will have already been pulled.

Additionally, Flo reported that his redshirt had been pulled (in addition to their reporting that he was going to wrestle at the Scuffle--that much, at least, was responsible reporting, given that he was registered). Perhaps the reason Cael was annoyed at Flo was for misreporting that Teasdale's redshirt had been pulled, I don't know.

Would enjoy seeing any of the above clarified though.

Your point is valid, but only if the coaches are 100% sure he's going to go this year. The little bit of money involved, and the "no-turning-back" reality of putting on the PSU singlet, leads me to believe it's highly unlikely.

Re. tikk's post...I don't have an absolute answer. Several years ago, there was an article that stated student-athlete's could have their transportation costs covered, as long as the school was going to a location (such as the Scuffle) anyway. I can not find the article, and the rulebook still is conflicting. Once a wrestler steps on a mat, with the school's singlet or a school's coach in the corner, then the RS is pulled...that much I'm sure. It's a conversation (if I remember o_O), that I will ask.

Exactly..that's my point...wasn't trying to blow up the thread..we'll see tomorrow
