I recall someone seeing the point made that if PSU paid for GT's trip to the Scuffle, which some believed to be the case, his redshirt will have already been pulled.

Additionally, Flo reported that his redshirt had been pulled (in addition to their reporting that he was going to wrestle at the Scuffle--that much, at least, was responsible reporting, given that he was registered). Perhaps the reason Cael was annoyed at Flo was for misreporting that Teasdale's redshirt had been pulled, I don't know.

Would enjoy seeing any of the above clarified though.

Ditto

Well..there's also a cost..I don't know his financial situation. Just posing the question. If PSU plans on wrestling him this year, I think they'd pay the costs
No way Teasdale wrestles in an open attached before he wrestles in a dual. Even if the plan is to wrestle him in a dual next weekend, he wrestles unattached this weekend just to preserve the possibility of shirting him in case he did get hurt.

Now THAT makes sense to me. I kept saying to myself "if they know he's going this year, why not pay and have him wear a singlet?" Didn't think of the possibility of an injury..good call

I probably missed it, but I thought since he was listed attached for Scuffle, that meant PSU had paid his way, and that by itself blew the RS? So redshirting is still an option?

Whatever. Just what we need another Barney Fife.

I am not looking for a Pulitzer. This is of huge interest to all, and relevant news. 80% of what is posted to this board is unreliable in the beginning, to be either confirmed our refuted later.

What weight did Barney wrestle? I saw on another board that his son Bam Bam was a 4X Champ. #letsjustenjoytheshow

Per Cael interview this week, he can travel with the team, he can even weigh in, but if he does not compete RS in still on.

Correct, which is a fairly recent change.

Are we good Sir Pish? o_O

BTW, I remember losing a bet but I;m getting up there and cannot remember what the bet was.

Maybe he will forget a different singlet and not be able to borrow one from someone else....

Plus, it would send a message!

I believe we bet on Nick Lee getting his shirt pulled last year before his first official match. I said he would wrestle, and you said he wouldn't

It seems sort of strange... team can pay for him to go as long as he doesn't wrestle (so he doesn't burn shirt), but if he does wrestle the team cannot pay for him to go (or he burns shirt). But i think that is the rule.

Not seeing a ton of 125 competition that I recognize. Dominic Lajoie and Logan Treaster best competition? Im sure there are people Im missing.
Hilariously aggravating that Track has really useful information that for all intents and purposes is hidden and inaccessible to anyone who isn't a database administrator or LemonPie. Flo has its own user-interface limitations but Track's site would feel clunky in 1998. The stuff is there, though, but navigating it requires a level of diligence and persistence most wrestling fans don't have.

Barney was the water boy. BamBam started at 25lbs while still in diapers, but went to all the way up to Heavy in kindergarten just for the challenge.

To lose the shirt the athlete must compete as a representative of the school. Pretty much that is it.
Teske needed to pay his way if he was to compete and maintain his shirt.

I'm locking this, so that folks will switch to the Shorty Hitchcock thread to discuss the actual competition.
