Still can't get over how good Yianni looked today. What a freak.

I think Zain's head/hands may stem the tide some. He's going to have to wrestle extremely smart though.

Whether you agree with all the rules or not, I have come to really enjoy Freestyle. I think Smalls tweeted something similar earlier, but dream matches people would be hyped about in NCAA are happening every big tournament in Freestyle. Maybe not a "dream match up" but I never would have thought I would see NCAA 141 Kevin Jack wrestling NCAA 157 Jason Nolf

How does Zain fend off the magic Yianni seems to create? He is super smart and creative.

Yeah, we're worried about scoring last CRITERIA (meaning both guys could've just won outright and solved it themselves) but we're going to defend a style in which wizzering and pulling out of bounds in a single or running/pulling someone out in rear-standing are rewarded with restarts? Stop.

Freestyle and Greco action and reward for action far supercedes folkstyle's reward system for inaction and fleeing.

I met RaVaughn Perkins's family at Fargo one year. I'm pretty sure I've already spun that yarn on here, but RaVaughn is one of my favorites. Anyone who talks smack about an official in the post-finals interview is a real one in my book.

who were these guys calling the greco finals? they suck for a sport and should try to calling a game. them silly suckers irck me.

Holy hell that was awful officiating in favor of both wrestlers. Did NOT do those two guys justice. Damn.

Hahahahaha!!!!! Earlier there was a running joke on here about Bo’s matches and not blinking or you’ll miss it. So apparently FLO “blinked” during his match vs. Rhoads...I just went to watch the replay and all it was, was an 18 second clip of Bo shaking everyone’s hand at the end of the match - HA!!!

Great Thread. Thank you team.

My god this Yianni. I would pay large sums of Stretch Armstrong's to see him and Nolf roll. HOWEVA, Zain can freight train through the scrambles, me thinks. B<3 is the man.

I know Fishbreath will argue this if he ever comes back, but Zain racked up some points on JO too, would have won had he not got chucked for 6.
This does not mean he will ba able to score on Yianni tho, Yianni is not gonna gas like JO did against Zain, but on the other hand, I dont see Yadi throwing Zain either. Should be a close match, but Im reluctantly pickin Yianni.

Looking for another great day! JO and Frank look small - times are changing or 65 is hard to make. Disappointed in Nolf's match. I wish there would have been more time but a good learning moment... he better be at world trials!!

FYI.

Nolf waits a round, and will face winner of Chamberlain vs Sorenson.

If (when) Nolf wins that match, he will wrestle for 3rd.

Frank the Tank update:

After losing to Yanni yesterday, Tank beat McKenna 6-3.

Tank next faces Futrell.

Win that, and Tank faces Eiermann.

The winner of that match most likely faces JOliver for 3rd.
