US Open

Arujau locks and throws Fix for four. Immediately follows that up with a TD to go up 6-0. Next, in a scramble the ref called 1 for Arujau, upon review, it goes 2 for Fix. Fix gets another TD to make it 6-4 Arujau at the break.
Fix with quick TD and two guts, followed by Arujau slipping the third gut for a reversal. Then, Arujau officially ran out of gas, and Fix ends up with the tech. Did not disappoint.

Perfect contrast of styles, Yianni vs Frank on Mat 1.

Yianni got to Frank's leg and Frank did an amazing job spinning out of it. Frank on clock for passivity halfway through first. Frank trying to work Russian tie, Yianni gets the passivity point. Front headlock from Frank but can't get behind. Beauty of a duck under by Yianni puts him up 3-0. Frank tried to treetop Yianni out of bounds but Yianni pivots at edge and he gets the step out point, up 4-0 at break.

Frank in on single. Settles for a step out. 4-1. Yianni in on a double for two, was hoping for four. Up 6-1. Yianni now in on a single, converts for 8-1. They're on mat now, each looking for exposure in a scramble, neither getting it. Frank has a single but can't convert, Yianni just so slippery. Now Yianni in on a double, converts. 10-1. Frank gets two exposure on a scramble but it won't be enough. 10-3 final.

Nico techs Mack.

In the first, I think I saw something that is physically impossible. Pretty sure Nico had Mack laced up and completed two full turns of Mack's legs, without Mack's shoulders turning. The camera angle obscured what must have been Mack's legs slipping within Nico's grasp.

Yiannai up 3 in 1st.

4-0 Yianni end of 1st.

6-1 Yianni.

Frank looks subdued compared to what I expected.

8-1 Yianni.

Yianni is just too good, it seems.

10-3 Yianni won.

Wasn’t trying to detract from Yianni. He’s gonna a win us gold medals, sooner or later.

This year if he wins this tourney, I bet. Tough road.

Nazar Nolf up. Nazar a good test b/c Nazar has been around and wrestles like most the guys he'll see overseas. Nazar goes upper body and Nolf defends with a whizzer, then drives out of bounds for a step out, up 1-0. Nolf less aggressive this match, but there he goes, tries for an ankle, doesn't happen, right back on the leg and manages to go behind as he drives out of bounds. 3-0 at break.

Nolf lifts Nazar but Nazar manages to expose Nolf on the way down. Nolf goes behind for a reversal point. 4-2 Nolf. Double for Nolf that he turns into a step out. 5-2. Nice double by Nolf and he immediately gets two more on a lace. 9-2, one minute remaining. Breaks him down now, goes behind for a very easy two, Nazar looks done and in fact he is as Nolf turns him for the tech. 13-2 final.

Kenny Courts and PD3 coming up soon. Not sure what happens in a race if both cars run out of gas.
It will look like the scene from Talledega Nights where Ricky Bobby and Jean Girard finish the race on foot after they crash. Whoever completes a lap around the gym first will be declared the winner, fulfilling PD3’s life motto...if you’re not first, you’re last.
