Senior Worlds (non Olympic weights) - October 28-31, 2024

I said it on the day DT's move was announced and I'll say it again. His hire at Ok State will be a bigger issue for Iowa than for Penn State. Fact is that there was no HC position available at PSU and there won't be for quite a while (hopefully). If DT wanted a HC position, this one was probably the best that was ever going to be offered to him until way down the road. So good for him. I wouldn't be heartbroken if in 20 or so years he came back to PSU as Cael's successor. But I'm not worrying about that now.

Players called in to step up

Move Carter back to LB as much as possible.
If DDS is out they can't do this
And, to be honest, Carter's been great as an Edge rusher this year. If Ohio State is down to their 3rd left tackle I want him lined up against that OT all day long. All day.
Rojas and company have to start doing their job better. I like Carter occasionally dropping into coverage but the decision to play him on the edge was done for a reason. There's no way I'm changing that now.
He's also the best edge rusher to keep Howard in the pocket if we play contain like we did against WVU

OSU player not suspended for 1st half

His latest inanity is making the completely extraneous statement that Missouri could have stopped them on the play... - completely irrelevant to the topic of wether "a play" and/or Officials' objectively proven wrong calls can change the result of a game.

In the game being discussed:

- Officials INCORRECTLY awarded Colorado a "5th Down" outside the NCAA Rulebook with only 2 seconds remaining in the game and the clock stopped. Missouri was leading the game 31-27 prior to Colorado running a play that they were not entitled to under the Rulebook and were only able to run this ILLEGITIMATE play via the beyond egregiously wrong call of the Officials. These are all undeniable FACTS.
- Colorado scored on the final play of the game on a play they were not entitled to run under the RULEBOOK and were only allowed to run the ILLEGITIMATE play via the egregiously wrong actions of the Officials. The Officials-enabled illegitimate "play" changed the score to 33-31 in Colorado's favor. Again, an undisputed FACT.
- "The Play" changed the outcome from a Missouri win to a Missouri loss. Again, an undisputed fact.
- The play was outside the Rulebook and only happened due to the egregiously wrong call of the Officials. Again, undisputed facts.

Bozo brains counter to all of these undeniable and indisputable FACTS is to make a completely extraneous statement that has ZERO to do with refuting any of these undeniable and irrefutable FACTS, but somehow believes his response refutes any of the facts listed regarding the topic being discussed. Diametrically wrong yet again on BOTH of the inane claims he made (i.e., "an Official's provably wrong call can't impact the outcome of a game" and "a play can't change the outcome of a game"), but keeps ranting that he's not diametrically wrong.... and has proven he's right by repeating his inanities over and over- what a surprise.
LOL--completely irrelevant--it's not irrelevant--had they stopped them they win
That's not an opinion

ESPN Podcast Preview PSU vs OSU

The overall sentiment heading into this game, regardless of injuries, is "believe it when I see it" with James Franklin/PSU.

And I tend to agree. I don't care about any of the factors leading into it at this point - with our record vs OSU over the last 10-20 years, it almost feels like a miracle needs to happen to beat them.

My only real - actual football/Xs&Os - related thought is that we NEED the 1-2 BIG turnovers to finally go our way. We've been on the wrong end of these situations going back like 10 years...
'14 missed dropped INT on OSU, '17 OSU blocked punt, '18 Sanders fumble, '21 sack fumble, '22 JTT/Clifford, '23 the sack/fumble/TD that was called back

If we do in fact win, I predict we get a HUGE TO - whether a pick 6, sack fumble deep in OSU, blocked kick, late redzone TO.

I get where that’s coming from—DT will have a lot going for him. Support aplenty, the parts of the “secret sauce” that are replicable, and obviously his amazing international accomplishments to dazzle recruits with.

I guess i’m just leaning into my belief that it’s the parts of the secret sauce that can’t be easily replicated where DT might struggle. Time and again, PSU wrestlers face the brightest lights with the clearest, and most effective mindset. These things come from who 3Cs are as people—and if you only try to act like them, it might not result in the same success.

I could certainly be wrong. It’s just a gut feeling that the person who took to twitter moments after J’Den Cox lost on the topside in Rio is going to have a hard time leading young men to the same heights his coach has.
I absolutely hope you right and I do agree. Just a bit scared. Overall though I don’t think DT is Cael and Cael and Co are what make PSU so special
