I have no idea how or why NY decided to charge this guy with second-degree manslaughter. There is simply no way anyone in their right mind will now intervene in a threatening situation. In the meantime, in a similar incident, some crazy dude went on a knifing spree and killed several New Yorkers. Could somebody have stopped this? I don't know but they'd have been crazy to try as the last guy who stopped a deranged guy from killing or hurting people was on trial for manslaughter.

Looking to buy a new PSU jersey. I bought my current one at the 2001 Iowa game so it has seen better days (and games!).

I’m looking for a stitched jersey - that is to say one with the numbers stitched on. The only one I have found like that was at Dick’s from Mitchell and Ness - and it was a blue Franco Harris jersey while I’m looking for white. Everyone else has “replica” jerseys with heat pressed numbers including PSU Bookstore (the official Nike one too).

Other than buying game worn or buying from China, does anyone know a reputable place to get a PSU jersey with stitched numbers?

I want stitched numbers for durability. My #86 Hines Ward Steelers jersey will be 20 years old this year and other than a little fading in the logo it still looks great. I figure after a few years the heat pressed numbers are liable to just peel off.

The idea that people who have stolen into this country illegally should be showered with all the rights and benefits of citizens, that it is immoral to deny them those rights, and that they should instead be treated as victims of persecution and given “sanctuary” in our crowded and fiscally strained cities.

The idea that a nation that sits atop one of the greatest reservoirs of natural energy resources on Earth should forcibly restrain itself from exploiting them to “save the planet” on the basis of politicized science, while other countries are free to do much more damage to the global environment.

The idea that after a century and a half of progress in expiating America’s original sin of racism and making the country more equal, we are suddenly obliged to believe that America is as oppressive as it was in 1619, and that the best way to right the past wrong of treating people based on the color of their skin is to treat people based on the color of their skin.

The idea that children should, without parental consultation or consent, be free to choose their “gender,” be assisted by the state in committing acts of self-mutilation to do so, and all on the understanding that we have repealed millennia of science and just discovered that there is no such thing as biological sex.

The idea that democracy and freedom are best protected by denying people the right to express certain views that the authorities deem “misinformation” and by weaponizing the law against political opponents lest they weaponize the law for political purposes.

I will chalk it up to two things.

1.) Harris IS a terrible candidate. She is as fake and forced as it can be. If not being Trump was the criteria, she certainly checked that box. She comes off as a bad actor instead of someone genuine. I said this before. Nothing has changed since she dropped out early in 2020 - she is as bad now as she was then. I know they were desperate, but Amy Klobuchar would have made a better candidate IMO. Walz was a terrible pick too. I am equally happy that he's not in the White House either.

2.) Policies. The utter nonsense that they seemingly created and endorsed came back and bit them in the ass.

• The most pressing issue of our time is allowing dudes in dresses to play on girls sports teams. This whole trans thing is way too much. And for bureaucrats to want to hide it from parents..... Unbelievable.
• Being soft on crime doesn't make up for the sin of slavery. Nor is racism the solution for racism.
• CRT is integrated into our public school system. Hating your nation is a lousy approach to building your nation.
• Lowering educational standards also does not make up for the sin of slavery.
• Allowing tens of millions of illegal immigrants come into our nation with no plan or resources dedicated for them is simply asinine. They did it anyway.
• There is a reason why DEI is dying. It's stupid. Pass over your brightest and best for skin color and genitalia?? Come on man.

A little over a year ago, I made the decision to become a Republican.

As the mayor of Dallas, Texas, I knew this defection would put a target on my back for Democrat leaders, who tried to mock, ridicule and minimize my rationale. But I knew I was making the right choice because Democrats’ priorities were all wrong.

Looking back, Democrats should have taken my shift as a wake-up call. After all, I left the Democrat Party for the same reasons many people of color have left and will continue to leave: the chaos, financial hardship and cultural rot Democrat policies have spread across our nation.
