NY looking to end youth football

Democratic New York lawmakers are introducing a bill to ban children from playing tackle football.

The John Mackey Youth Football Protection Act, named after an NFL player from New York who died from chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) in 2011, would ban tackle football for kids 12 years old and younger.

Assemblyman Michael Benedetto, a Democrat who represents the Bronx in New York City, has been trying to get the bill passed for more than 10 years, but he finally has a sponsor in the state Senate, Democrat Luis Sepulveda.

Up Next, Rutgers: Most intriguing matchup...

Gonna be at this one live! Excited to watch the beatdown of the Jersey Boys. Not a whole lot of intrigue in this one, but I guess the most interesting one is Beau vs Olivieri. Olivieri is a talented youngster and has some nice wins recently including over D'Emilio and Cole Mattin. Beau has really progressed and I continue to believe his quickness is vastly underrated. I'll say Beau by 3.

What do others think? Predictions? How will it go?

Fox Network expecting Biden to break protocol

and hide in his basement once again.

Since 2009, every president has been interviewed by someone on the host network before, during or after the game. This year, Fox has tried to get it arranged with the Potato in Chief but the white house has not responded.

OT - 9 year old PA kid graduates from high school

High school graduation is always a special time in a student's life.
But for a Bucks County boy, his graduation is making history – he's just 9 years old.

David Balogun received a diploma from Reach Cyber Charter School, which is based in Harrisburg.
"They didn't bog me down. They also advocated for me, saying, 'He can do this. He can do that,'" Balogun said.
He took classes remotely from his home in Bensalem. He loves science and computer programming.
"I want to be an astrophysicist, and I want to study black holes and supernovas," he said.
Balogun's parents have advanced degrees but raising a young son with extraordinary intellectual gifts is challenging.

"I had to get outside of the box. Playing pillow fights when you're not supposed to, throwing the balls in the house. He's a 9-year-old with the brain that has the capacity to understand and comprehend a lot of concepts beyond his years and sometimes beyond my understanding," Balogun's mother, Ronya, said.
A member of Mensa, Balogun credits a number of favorite teachers.
He taught them a thing or two in just the few years it took him to get through the 12th grade.
"David was an inspirational kid, definitely one who changes the way you think about teaching," science teacher Cody Derr said.
After completing a semester at Bucks County Community College, Balogun's family is looking at colleges and universities to try to find the right fit.
"Am I going to throw my 9-year-old into Harvard while I'm living in PA? No," Balogun's father, Henry, said.
Balogun's favorite thing is learning, but he also plays sports and the piano. He's working on his black belt in the martial arts.

Trump

Just saying that name is enough to alter the sleeping patterns of the common, everyday liberal. Let's forget the cost of gas when he left office. Let's forget that there were no new wars while President Trump was in office. And let's forget that the unemployment rate for minorities and women was at an all-time low. Followers of "The Party" hate Trump and nothing will change that.

Now we have some moron figurehead in office, who obviously isn't making any of the important decisions. In the past week there was a Chinese spy balloon floating across the continental United States and they let it go. A few days before Russian warships were dangerously close to Hawaii. Inflation is sky high. The border is as secure as the classified documents in the Corvette garage. I could go on, but Trump is the subject liberals want to talk about.

I shake my head at all of it. One thing keeps coming back to me though. If you voted for Biden/Harris you are an idiot.

FB Recruiting Notable 2024 recruit schedules PSU visit

One of New York's best, Erasmus Hall (NY) defensive end Caden Brown has scheduled a visit to campus for March 18th. He is very tight with several other NY targets such as DT Aaris Bethea, ATH Josiah Brown (holds a PSU offer) and WR/TE Korey Duff (recent visitor), as the three played pop warner together. Also before anyone says it, I expect him to get a bump in the next rankings.

A banal failure of a State of the Union

Joe Biden = failure............

Americans were better off under TRUMP. Let that sink in.

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...itism/a-banal-failure-of-a-state-of-the-union

Biden knows Democrats are hemorrhaging support from non-college-educated voters of all demographics. The Democratic Party isn’t becoming, it already is, a hollowed-out party made up of wealthy and entitled groups who have become favored castes. Just as the middle class has already fled Democratic-run states such as California, Illinois, and New York, these same middle-class voters are abandoning the Democratic Party, and a couple of hundred billion dollars in government industrial planning isn’t going to change that.

There's a catch if you want a share of the infrastructure bill

The Department of Transportation announced Thursday that it will award $662 million in grant funding to fix up the nation’s port infrastructure, but only if those ports advance ESG-style goals such as "equity," "environmental justice" and serving underserved communities.

decisions to release these grants, which will be distributed under the department’s Maritime Administration (MARAD), will also depend on other factors that have nothing to do with unclogging supply chains and moving goods efficiently to customers.
