Brutal 1st quarter, as the Sixers were outscored 40-28.
The 2nd quarter was somewhat better, as the Sixers were outscored 32-27, and thus trailed 72-55 at the half.
The 3rd quarter was pretty much a draw, as the Raptors outscored the Sixers by 1 point, 28-27
The Sixers won the 4th quarter, 25-19.
The final score 119-107. While Sixers put up more of a fight in the 2nd half, they ended up losing the game by the same amount that they trailed at the end of the 1st quarter, 12 points.

Sources: Clippers and Sixers have agreed to trade Tobias Harris, Boban Marjanovic, Mike Scott for Landry Shamet, Wilson Chandler, Mike Muscala, 2020 first-rounder, 2021 unprotected 1st via Miami and two second rounders. Can anyone enlighten me about the players they received?

Tobias Harris is 26, a 6'8" small forward who averages 20 pts a game, and is shooting 42% on threes. Mike Scott is a 6"8 forward who can hit threes. Bench player. Marjanovich is a solid back up center, albeit maybe a step slow.

Harris is a free agent this Summer and in line for a max contract who obviously the Sixers want to keep. Should have been in the All Star game this year. Had 34 pts last night. Will open up the floor for the Sixers.

Tough "break" for the Sixers last night. Shake Milton broke his finger in the Blue Coats game. he would have seen increased PT after the trade.

Safe to say now the process is OVER. The Sixers are officially in win now mode, if their was any doubt before. Picking up a few decent shooters in the buyout market should put them in the finals as long as all the starters stay healthy. They have half a season to gain a good rapport with each other heading for the playoffs.

The win last week at Golden State was impressive, but laying to dudds since with Reddick out hurt a bit. Love the additions as they give some better bench players and an all star type starter who should flourish with Embiid and Simmons. Marjonovich is a better backup to Embiid than any others they currently had and Scott can shoot the 3 ball and plays good defense off the bench and is more of a power forward than Muscala. Gave up a lot, but got a lot in return. Now need to go win and resign these guys or this will look potentially very bad in the offseason.

Process should be over. With players like Embiid, Simmons, Butler and now Harris ... Win Now! 76ers have not had this talented of a core in forever.

Great trade but does it answer the depth issues? I still feel as though the Sixers need a true swingman off the bench. Furkan and Highsmith are ok pieces but nothing to write home about.

they will hit the buy out market for bench strength. Still have '19 1st rounder and Fultz as trade bait

I saw that was also part of this trade.
I thought it was the 2020 first rounder along with the 2021 Unprotected pick from Miami. That would mean the 2019 pick is still with Philly, but I think their some NBA rule that you can't trade 1st round picks in back to back years? it may b3 3 straight years you can't, but their is some rule.

big question is will they resign Butler or Harris or both? I think the trade is fine as long as they don't lose both guys after the season. Losing one would be bad, losing both would be a huge mess. I'm not a master on salary cap and contracts but they need to feel comfortable they can sign Harris if they sent all they did for him. And i think the plan all along was that they would sign Butler, but it seems they are learning he is a difficult teammate. Hopefully they can make this all work.

What I like about the trade is it provides insurance against Butler flaking out. The dude is mental. He’s one extended streak of losing, or bad playoff series, from quitting on the team. If they can sign them both and keep them happy it’s a great outcome. If not, you have three legitimate, young stars and the money to bring in added depth.

Who knows, Sixers may already have a plan B and will let Butler walk. I think its a great trade.

I think if they just lose one, they would have some cap space left to maybe sign a couple decent players..... not a max guy or anything, but some decent guys. I kind of get the feeling Butler will walk, so this could also be an insurance policy, where they bring Tobias and his buddy Boban in and hopefully have a leg up on everyone.

They may flip Butler yet...trade deadline not finished yet...and that may not be a bad idea. While Buckets is great when he is on and feeling god about things and is a plus defender he can flake out and seems to get injured easily. Trading him to Denver for some shooting assets would be great. Maybe Barton and Morris plus a draft pick.

With Patton and Smith playing for Delaware, and Fultz still a big question, this team still has some bench depth or trade assets to deal before the deadline. I can’t imagine that there is still a place for Amir Johnson on this team. Marjanovic and Bolton provide good depth at the center position.

Butler has said for years he only wants to win. Not sure he’s going to find a better starting 5 than this to win with. So...does he want to average 19 points a game and win or does he want to have the ball all to himself in pick and rolls and average 25 but potentially land somewhere without as good a team around him? Should be interesting.

Also...the clock is officially on for Brett Brown. Talent is not longer an issue.

Sixers just acquired SG Malachi Richardson from the Raptors. This is a pretty minor deal in which they also got a 2nd round pick and rights to some foreign player. I have a feeling one more trade is still going to happen, perhaps involving Fultz.

Wouldn't be surprised to see several moves over the next day by Brand to fill out the bench with shooters. They are all in at this point using all the assets acquired over the previous years. If they get a few veterans over the next 24 hours this team could be quite potent in the playoffs. Just a guess but I think with the issues Butler has already created would not surprise me in the least if the Sixers let him walk or even trade him before the deadline.

Sixers' starting lineup on Feb. 8, 2017:
PG: T.J. McConnell
SG: Gerald Henderson
SF: Robert Covington
PF: Ersan Ilyasova
C: Jahlil Okafor Sixers'

potential starting lineup on Feb. 8, 2019:
PG: Ben Simmons
SG: JJ Redick
SF: Jimmy Butler
PF: Tobias Harris
C: Joel Embiid

I think Pheonix will buy out Wayne Ellington and he will be a sixer soon Wes Matthews is also possible and would be 2 nice shooters to add bench scoring

Can’t stand Simmons....if his man crush Ainge makes this deal he would get on his knees and service Danny as the greatest GM ever to walk the earth.

He’s got ZERO credibilty when it comes to the NBA simply because of his Boston hard on. Anything that comes from the Ringer instantly get this reaction from me....
