2018-19 Sixers Thread

Embid was having fun out there. He didn’t look like he was bothered by the knee at all. Loved the hand cupping the ear in a tribute to Iverson. If he wasn’t a Sixer, it would be hard to root for him, the hotdog that he is, but he is fun to watch. Great defensive performance tonight in addition to his offensive prowess.

Sir Charles pretty much called this result the other night. He indicated that the building would be absolutely rocking, and the Sixers would score around 120 points. With the D that the Raptors have been playing throughout the playoffs, that points prediction seemed kind of crazy. Turned out he was pretty accurate.

Lots of Eagles were at the game. DeSean Jackson, Alshon Jeffries, and I believe Carson Wentz. I think there were several more.

As for former Sixers, I wasn't tracking that too much. I know AI was in the house.

It's kind of funny to see what happened in Game 2 and Game 3, and remember some of the idiotic comments on WIP after Game 1. Heck, one of the hosts was saying that the Sixers blew it with their acquisitions, as they didn't get Kawhi Leonard, while the Raptors did. (And disregarding the fact that the Raptors gave up a boatload, and Kawhi is only signed through this season.)

It will be interesting to see what type of adjustments the Raptors make for Game 4.

Not sure about being a hot dog, he’s just a big wonderfully athletically talented kid that’s having fun.

ABSOLUTELY GREAT seeing him relatively healthy, imagine what he would do if he ever got 100% healthy!

FIRE BRETT BR-

wait

He has 100% made all the right moves. I was not a big Brett Brown fan but I gotta admit that after his game one massive mess of Furkan and Boban, he has made great adjustments.

Again...I LOVE being wrong when it comes to the teams I root for. Hopefully he continues to make these great moves.

He’s clearly found his bench and rotation and done so quickly.

Love what he’s done in games 2 & 3.

Great game. Hopefully we win game 4 because our high will be quickly dampened if we go back to Toronto tied at 2.

He’s had terrible game 1’s ..... and been outstanding every other game. Really impressive so far. Happy for Brett as he seems like a great guy as well

Great win last night! Embiid really put on a show hitting his 3s. Place was wild last night. Defense has picked it up.

Yeah, rather have home court adv.
Truthfully, I think the sixers match up a whole lot better with Milwaukee than Boston. Home court is a nice bonus with Boston, but they're in the sixers heads. That said, its one of those "beat the best to be the best" kind of situations. I kind of want to square off against the Celtics because I want to prove the sixers are better. I actually think the sixers match up better with Golden State than they do with the Celtics.

Just like their record against the Raptors, the Sixers starting lineup is just starting to gel. They are at full power. To a certain extent, you have to throw out what has happened before.

Agree. They haven't beaten Toronto in forever until these last 2 games. Lets get past the Raptors and then .... BRING ON THE CELTICS!

As much as I’d love to see them beat Boston. I think they match up better against Milwaukee as well... but if they play like they did last night I don’t think it matters who they face.

Siakim listed as doubtful with calf contusion. Wonder how he got that?

I was very concerned

I was very concerned after game 1, but I agree getting Monroe in has proven very BIG he is me athletic than Boban and has done a real good job giving Jojo some rest. I also like that they are attacking Lowery by posting up whoever he is trying to guard as that is a huge mismatch vs any of the starters....Butler, Simmons, Harris will easily have their way in the post or force a double and leave someone open. Hope JJ gets a little more consistent as well...he has been sporadic....but real good when on.

Embiid needs to lay off the Taco Bell and milkshakes

This is what’s holding him back from being elite.

This was a “lock up the series” type of game and he was “sick”? When you are the keystone to a franchise how do you NOT take better care of yourself?

This game was so frustrating.

Simmons was brutal

If Harris is taking 23 shots, your team is in trouble. 2 for 13 from 3 pt range.

Horrible game by the Sixers! They just couldn't get things going. It's time to regroup head north and get the win. Hated to see us lose at home .
