With how many national championships and a recent huge success at the Olympics for NLWC, I think I’ll be quite confident in our coaching staff managing this.I think he would add a bunch of positive NCAA tournament points to the culture and clubhouse!

Adam Coon was cut today by the Tennessee Titans. Did not make the final 80. Making Tennessee Taxi squad unlikely. PSU: Shareef Miller also got cut by Atlanta today. That was his 4th team since being drafted by the Eagles in 2019 4th round. Not exactly transfer portal news but I guess it is some kind of portal with a potential to transfer

You're right. Coon was cut with injury designation, which would've allowed him to return on IR if not claimed within 24 hrs. But then a few days ago they reached injury settlement, so he won't be back in Nashville.
Yes. He is on the 80 man roster.
On their "unofficial" depth chart he is listed as second team at one of their ILB spots. Final cut to 53 on August 31.
If only to watch HR implode.

Who knows. Wasn't this rumored weeks ago? Maybe Mineo is being vague for attention and Willie just called him on it. Either way, Mineo is a slime ball and I don't believe a word out of his mouth. Just be direct and say what you gotta say.
Imma put it this way--if Cael wants him on the team, then I want him on the team. Fair? We don't really know what happened last time around, exactly--and college is about (ultimately, eventually) growing up. If the Surianos can put the past in the past, this move makes good sense for all parties. If he's going to be all drama-laden, I have the confidence in our coaches to realize that it won't be a good fit much more than any groupthink around here.
I forget, has he suggested publicly whether he would entertain going 125? I know the online mobs would get more excited about that, but it has to be a hard pull for a guy that’s 23-24.
Posted the vision quest theme song on Instagram, that sounds like "I want Spencer" kind of thing. Obviously it could be trolling.
It also makes the most sense, there's not anything he really needs to do in college wrestling. He missed his freshman year tournament and lost sophomore year so it's not like he's seeking to be a 4 timer or even a 3 timer. Winning 133 won't move the needle much for him. But potentially stopping Spencer from winning 4? That would be something (while helping PSU to a team title)
I'm not expecting him to transfer here still. He's going to go right back to Arizona after this meeting (or maybe it's in Arizona even) and spend time with the ASU team again.
He did some freestyle tourneys at 57 recently. I also have to think that from a motivation perspective, denying Spencer a fourth has got to be pretty high as to why he’s even thinking about doing folkstyle at all at this point

Why not? Any hard feelings? Don’t think so as I harken back to the championship in Pburgh after Nick won and he was walking down the hallway to the interview room and crossed paths with Shak. He interrupted the conversation on camera to say “nothing but respect for those guys”! Cael allowed him to leave. He didn’t have to. He could have made it real difficult but he didn’t. Cannot think how this couldn’t work for all involved. Would be awesome. The return of the champ! The faithful will go wild in the old barn...

I'll admit, if he does come to PSU and goes 125 to get a crack at Spencer, it will be the most anticipated match in history to me. And before anyone goes off, I said to me....I'm not saying to everyone. Would be kinda crazy if Spencer lost out becoming a 4 timer in H.S. AND college to someone looking for their own "vision quest".
