2024-25 PSU Lineup (The Dynasty Continues)

The best scenario, granted noone on the outside has any idea if it's feasible any longer, is for Kasak to shirt and return to 141 after Beau is finished (or to compete for that spot next year). I get the sense that 141 is now in his rear view mirror.

Kasak to 157 is a road to nowhere, and possible the worst scenario going forward. I don't see the logic there at all.
I agree, but you can only fight nature so much. One good growth spurt and 149 might be a struggle.

Bump

Darn nice to be able pencil in Greg…my best guess on next years lineup

Redshirts - Davis, Kasak, Levi, Cole and Connor Miresola

25 Lilledahl
33 Nagao
41 Beau
49 Shayne
57 Sealy
65 Mesenbrink
74 Ryder
84 Barr
97 Cstar
Hvw Kerk

Facundo for Ryder, and I don't see Sealy starting either - he ain't ready, and there are at least 3 other scenarios at 157/165 that make more sense.

I think Sealey is ready but I doubt he goes. I don’t think anyone would’ve thought Davis or Kasak were ready but once they get in that room improvement happens quickly. If Sealey ends up the guy I have no doubt he can AA. I’m with you on Facundo at 174 though. Ryder is a stud and could also end up being the guy but I think Facundo is going to have a really good year

Starocci and Keckeisen would be 🔥
Keck never got within a stone's throw of AB. Don't think it's much different with Carter.

It's easy to see why Carter has such a chip on his shoulder all the time. Even much of our own fan base underestimates him constantly.

He hasn't lost a match since B1G s of his freshman year. A returning national champ was the only one that was even in his ball park and by Carter's SR year he was dominating him as well. He just won a bracket with 2 National Champs in it on one leg without an anxious moment or anyone even threatening to score on him. A few weeks later on the same leg he bumps up 20 pounds in a week and acquits himself fine against some of the best 86kgs in the world.

Parker Keck is not touching him.

Carter is so good that we need to rationalize competitors for him, whether they really are or not.

I just hope Sonnen was wrong and Carter will stick around for a cycle before going mma. He may be too good at that too though. Think he has even more upside than Bo in the octagon.

Not disagreeing with this... would at least be interesting to have a slight hope of some actual competition. That's just a credit to how good Star is on the mat, not a knock on any of his opponents.

Worst case scenario for Zahid.

And poor Kollin Moore
Am starting to feel bad for that guy. He's had good results in events where he didn't have to beat out Snyder to qualify. And nothing wrong with him other than his choice of school.

Unfortunately for him, he's only 1 year younger than Snyder. Otherwise he wouldn't be the worst candidate to poach when someday Snyder retires, not that we're in any hurry for that.

Don't feel too bad for Kollin Moore. He's considered an NCAA champ in Covelli.

Cstar goes where he wants and I’m thinking 184 is more likely with Barr bouncing up for a year and dropping back after CStar departs with a 5th.
Can't see CStar jumping up 2 wt classes. He doesn't have the frame for it. His lower body is very slim and that's where it takes time to put weight on. We'll see.

I don’t think so. Looking at pictures with both of them from Saturday night at NCAAs and I think they are pretty close - unless the camera is wrong.
it’s probably more like 2 inches. I got excited he’s a thread on the Internet forum that has more photos.

Looking at the pictures again, I’m 5’11” and Brooks looks slightly taller than me (eye level is above mine) and Carter looks about the same height as me (eye level slightly below mine). I’m certainly much taller than Levi, Mess, Ksysak, etc. That said, at Nationals I was a good workout from making 141.

At the Oly trials the father of one of our wrestlers was talking to a guy sitting directly behind me. They spoke for a few minutes and the thing he said that caught my attention at the time was that Carter had already decided he was coming back and then mentioned he was going 84. So far one of those things ended up being true. Guess we'll see if the 84 thing holds up.

Are you sure you’re 5’11 , if you haven’t measured in 30 years folks tend to lose a little height . I am surprised Brooks would be taller than 5’11
