I used that word in traffic court once to explain how I could trust that my pacing of a vehicle at 110+ miles an hour was sufficient to show he was driving at least 100 mph even though the police car had only been calibrated to 80 mph. The defense attorney the driver hired was unimpressed with my extrapolation : ) I still won the case, though!I like learning new words on here but come on the definition of this one and how you used it is twisting my brains!
Every lineup I saw on Bucknuts has Jesse penciled in at 141 next year, but someone who seems to post solid info said it was a hard cut for him to 141 this year. Certainly seemed to have a solid gas tank.Literally one of the smallest 141's in the country lmao
He's the Austin Desanto of this board. That guy couldn't stay civil if his life depended on it. He's proven over the last decade plus that he just doesn't have it in him.
Add Ryder in there as well.So right now it looks like
125 Steen/Howard/Davis/Lilledahl
133 Nagao/Davis/Lilledahl
141 Bartlett/Kasak/Evans
149 Van Ness/Kasak
157 Mesenbrink/Haines
165 Mesenbrink/Haines/Barraclaugh
174 Starocci/Facundo/Barraclaugh
184 Barr/Facundo
197 Cochran/Mirasola
285 Kerkvliet/Mirasola
Woah, imagine being so deep that not one single weight can be penciled in the next season.
DeSanto placed 3x.He's the Austin Desanto of this board.
More like a Greek tragedy.iowa is more of a joke with us than consumed!
If you believe Askren, KOT was ready to move up this year but stayed at 165 to accommodate keeping Peyton Mocco in the lineup.Maybe too much time above treeline, but my gut says KOT’s decision waits on Carter’s. If Star returns, I don’t see anyone other than Arnold (not even a 2-time champ) drawing targets on a guy chasing an unassailable record while jonesing for his own Hodge.
If other rumors hold, I’d guess KOT likes his 3-time shot more against Levi than Carter. Otherwise, if he’s sick of the cut, we’ll likely be treated to a 4-timer v 2-timer final.
Regardless, in whatever flavor, ours is still one helluva lineup for losing all-time great AB!
Well, Gunsie was placed in suspension at least 3 times.DeSanto placed 3x.
Nasdeo and Gibson at 125. Atsadeephole. So right now it looks like

I honestly can't remember seeing this kind of quality depth on a college wrestling team. Your post makes me wonder if there is something going on in the recruiting world where aspiring high schoolers are beginning to recognize that 1 or 2 years in the room with the best coaches and best competition is in their best interest - regardless of where they end up wrestling. If they crack the starting line up great, if they don't what they learn in that room will serve them best - where ever they end up.So right now it looks like
125 Steen/Howard/Davis/Lilledahl
133 Nagao/Davis/Lilledahl
141 Bartlett/Kasak/Evans

Connor = 197, Cole = HWT.I'm very interested in 197 next year to see the development of Lucas Cochran. Isn't there another guy in that room also who could contend for the spot? Also, which Mirasola is 197, Connor or Cole? Those kids are absolute animals, after a redshirt year I can only imagine the possibilities.
Any ideas how we are gonna tell these 2 apart?Connor = 197, Cole = HWT.
Fricchione is the only other 197 on the roster (including incoming freshmen). His 2024 was not close to Cochran's.
In one way, we are at that point. If we divided our 10 starters into 2 teams, we take 1st & 2nd place at NCAAs. Add in some backups like Barraclaugh, Cochran, etc, and well, it gets even crazier. It's getting fairly close to where the best team in the nation is Penn State, and the second best team in the nation is Penn State JV.
My best guess is that NCAA isn’t the ultimate goal for a lot of these guys so they sacrifice in college to maximize international potential. That’s all I got.Ku9vvgn

40+ lb?Any ideas how we are gonna tell these 2 apart?
Lilledahl isn't ever going to be on anyone's second team. LOL.Psu's 2nd team next year could look something like this (Assuming Bartlett and Kerk come back Carter doesn't)
125: LL (AA)
133: Shunk/Howard/Steen/Gibson... (Non-Qual/ 0-2)
141: Evans (NQ/R12)
149: Kasak (High AA)
157: Bearclaw/Sealy (AA)
165: Bearclaw/Sealy (AA)
174: Ryder R12/AA
184: Kelly/Ball/Borden (Non-Qual)
197: Lil Mirasola (AA)
285: Big Mirasola (NQ/R12)
Thats a pretty solid team with likely 5-6 All Americans
He'd be better off jumping to 184 and taking on Keckheisen at full strength.Maybe too much time above treeline, but my gut says KOT’s decision waits on Carter’s. I think you're vastly underestimating Ryder, I see him as a high AA if he goes as a true freshman.Psu's 2nd team next year could look something like this (Assuming Bartlett and Kerk come back Carter doesn't)

Smartass40+ lb?
Meant to put LL/Davis because 1 likely has to shirtLilledahl isn't ever going to be on anyone's second team. LOL.
Kind of funny you could see it coming. When I saw the question I was like jefe is all over this one lmfaoSmartass

Don't forget Gibson (Heard he might go down to 125).Nagao got points at nationals, and was an AA the year before. That's not a point getter? Lilledahl is coming in next year, so even if you've completely written off Nagao after one slightly down year for some reason, Lilledahl and Davis can cover 125/133 for next year. Then Desmond is coming in the following year if you still aren't happy with that lineup. Howard is still around, too, if he's healthy (I don't think there was mention of how he's doing all season), and Cael Nasdeo with a year of NLWC greyshirt training as well.
Gibson down at 125 makes him much more likely to be a real contributor. I think he is too short to function at 133 but at 125 he already has career wins over Stanich and other guys around that levelDon't forget Gibson (Heard he might go down to 125).
I'm not holding my breath for Gibson. He seems to have regressed and was only 4th at states this year. Compared to the other guys in or coming in the room, Lilledahl is a 3-time prep national champ, Desmond won prep nationals this year (over Iowa recruit Leo DeLuca), Howard was a NJ state champ, Davis a 4-time MI state champ, and Steen and Nasdeo are both PIAA champs. That's going to be a tough lightweight room to crack.Gibson down at 125 makes him much more likely to be a real contributor. We are after all, Lightweight U.I'm not holding my breath for Gibson. He seems to have regressed and was only 4th at states this year. Gibson definitely regressed but he has battled injuries throughout the years. He beat Steen when he was a freshman in HS and Steen was a senior. It will be interesting to see how he shakes out in the depth chart and if PSU can help him clean up his style a little bit (most importantly improving on bottom)I'm not holding my breath for Gibson. We are not. Have you seen the logjam in the upper middle weights? LOL.We are after all, Lightweight U.

I'm certainly not writing him off without seeing him wrestle at Penn State even once. I'm just saying, he has a real uphill battle for a starting spot.Gibson definitely regressed but he has battled injuries throughout the years. He was not expected to beat Harer in the semis, though losing the 3rd place match to Robson was a surprise.I'm not holding my breath for Gibson. Just reading that article makes your head spin. Unbelievable depth at every weight.
