Any thoughts that the father should be the one suspended from attending any event for the remaining season? After all, he appears to be the underlying cause of the series of events.
Sure, except for "the one." Knox Jr still had agency.

I agree, except that ship seems to have sailed. Many states have penalties built into their school codes or athletic sanctioning bodies for this type of behavior by any fans.Sure, except for "the one." Knox Jr still had agency.

None of the family should be allowed in any arena this postseason.I agree, except that ship seems to have sailed. Many states have penalties built into their school codes or athletic sanctioning bodies for this type of behavior by any fans.
So they handcuffed the school, so they can't do anything under their code of conduct rules. Unreal. The judge's full order is embedded in this article, as a 19-page PDF.

Read the judge's decision on champion high school wrestler Anthony Knox
A judge issued a temporary restraining order allowing high school wrestler Anthony Knox Jr. to compete in the NJSIAA Region 7 tournament.www.app.com
Basically, the court ordered the injunction because the NJ commission did not provide Knox with notice of their intent to suspend him. (Lol, guess Knox was surprised to learn he crossed the gym to join a fight.)
I stopped reading around p. 5, since its description of the event too closely resembled a press release written by Knox's attorney.
I am unaware of that story.
I think Diceman's original post got it right. You know what's going to (or should) happen when you throw a punch at. School sporting event. If there is solid evidence thst he threw a punch in the stands he should be banned and the courts should stay out of it.So they handcuffed the school, so they can't do anything under their code of conduct rules. Unreal.
Hopefully they have security follow the family around all day at regionals and states.
And where does due process fall into this? He should have had the right to an expedited trial. And been presented the facts of why he was suspended. NJSIAA set out to make an example of him and made a communist decision without giving him a fair process and to present the facts of why he was suspended. Would they have done that, then he wouldn’t be wrestling.I think Diceman's original post got it right. You know what's going to (or should) happen when you throw a punch at. School sporting event. The one thing that the judge got correct is that participating in scholastic sports is not a right. It's a privilege. It's not been disputed that he went into the stands throwing punches. If they weren't the case, I might agree with you. Kicking a kid out of a sporting event for throwing punches in the stands isn't communism. Say what? Due process has absolutely nothing to do with a legitimate suspension by a school. So, instead of fists, he hits someone with a baseball bat, he should receive due process before a legitimate suspension by the school? Due process does not guarantee one a timeline due to a wrestling tournament. He has not right to any trial 2 days before a tournament just so he can wrestle. And where does due process fall into this? How many kids do something to get suspended from their team. There is no due process in a court for them. The Knox family is trash. Glad Cael didn't get him.Say what? He is just an excitable boy. Someone can take it from there.
Well knowing my wife and the way we intend to teach our children is to respect others and there’s a line you don’t cross. Neither of us know what provoked Knox to enter the stands and if my kid said something derogatory, well then nut up or shut up and be prepared for the consequences. And if it was your kid or wife he punched, you be first in line to bitch!
Bottom line…the word “Justice” in the justice system is an oxymoron! That goes in both directions…we are lost in litigation and entitlement.
The only videos I saw of the punch were shot off an iPhone 6 and blurry due to all the motion the person behind the camera was doing. If NJSIAA shared what videos they looked at to establish there ruling with the Knox family, i think the judge makes a different judgement call on him wrestling. The one thing that the judge got correct is that participating in scholastic sports is not a right. The school could have certainly suspended him and still can. But to make a rash judgement call on videos that are poorly recorded and without all the facts is asinine. They can certainly still suspend him from school before states making him ineligible.Say what? Due process has absolutely nothing to do with a legitimate suspension by a school. It would be better to say, "Cael didn't want him" instead of "Cael didn't get him".How many kids do something to get suspended from their team. There is no due process in a court for them. The Knox family is trash. Glad Cael didn't get him.
I guess the only justice that will be served will be if the kids family sues them.
I wouldn't look for any judge with morals or brains to pick up the case. They probably don't exist in Jersey.

Lol, I knew someone would pick that up. I tried to attach that and failed.
Absolutely. Any consequense is now called "communism." Unless it's in your favor and then it's "justice."And if it was your kid or wife he punched, you be first in line to bitch!

I just skimmed the ruling - need to go back and read closely to be sure - but one of the articles said thst the ruling wouldn't allow the school to impose discipline either.Well knowing my wife and the way we intend to teach our children is to respect others and there’s a line you don’t cross. I agree and apparently some on this board have no idea what communism actually is. Lol. Wtf already if I do something to break the rules that everybody has to follow I pay the price end of story. I got kicked off the varsity baseball team for underage drinking for crying out loud and I was a starter. I knew the rules and took the punishment this whole case is about privilege. Lol. Does due process even apply. I remember in the 80s my mother and me both signing an agreement for varsity sports involving rules of conduct. That was specifically brought up by my coach who didn't want to kick me off the team. I remember him telling me " if doesn't matter what I do the school will kick you off the team regardless". I have to believe students still have to sign shit I took my daughters to the track meeting at Central mountain every year and that was all explained before the season and signed off on. Everybody knew the rules going in that's due process lolBut did you get due process?
They still sign these. We had a kid in our region who got kicked out of the post season for MFing a ref after a tournament was over, the mats rollled up, and half of the spectators and athletes gone. Coach asked the AD to try to get him reinstated. They fired the coach.Lol. Does due process even apply. Gotta wonder if this judge would've prevented Cumberland Valley from suspending Mike Evans ahead of states. On the other hand, the year before a kid got caught stealing from another locker home just before the regional finals. Had a bag full of phones? Wrestling shoes, headphones, clothes, cash... The guards went to the school's coaches and they let the kid wrestle. One school did the right thing and the other did not. Some decisions should be easy. The Knox case is one of them.
Just Us- coming to a theatre near you.And if it was your kid or wife he punched, you be first in line to bitch!

Here there, nobody wants any truck with them brands boys..If Knox and his family of amped up urban Clampetts got off for being part of a huge brawl, you have to wonder what Tom Brands did that was so bad in high school that his Senior Year was cut short with no clemency.
I guess it’s lost in the mist of time
If they didn't DNA test it, he didn't get due process, right?Gotta wonder if this judge would've prevented Cumberland Valley from suspending Mike Evans ahead of states.
After all, Evans was #1 in the state at his weight, and there was no rule against pooping in a schoolmate's lacrosse helmet.
Define communism for me.And where does due process fall into this? He should have had the right to an expedited trial. And been presented the facts of why he was suspended. Wonder if the school has the balls to suspend him an hour before states begins. No time to take it to a judge then. Assuming the school even wants to suspend him.The judge's restraining order prohibits the school from suspending him.
The rest ... lol. If the reason for Knox's behavior matters, then it's OK to cross the gym and get into the fight, and we're all just haggling over the terms and conditions.
Cael seems to sniff these trouble makers somehow which is good.If Knox and his family of amped up urban Clampetts got off for being part of a huge brawl, you have to wonder what Tom Brands did that was so bad in high school that his Senior Year was cut short with no clemency.

I think all the coaches sniff them out. Just about everyone else has to take them because folks aren’t lining up to wrestle for them like they are for Cael. Gus Fring didn’t have to take on the headaches his competition had to.Cael seems to sniff these trouble makers somehow which is good.
The all purpose use of communism to mean whatever one wants it to mean in today’s social discourse reminds me of this great movie scene:Define communism for me.
For the majority, Cael doesn't even have to sniff them out. The kids themselves will visit and realize they don't fit in here.Cael seems to sniff these trouble makers somehow which is good.
People claiming this stumbled onto a key feature of communism. They've just misapplied it, badly.Define communism for me.
I see what you did there. Took me three reads but I see it now.You mean due due process?
Amped up Urban Clampetts was the name of my punk band in high school! If Knox and his family of amped up urban Clampetts got off for being part of a huge brawl, you have to wonder what Tom Brands did that was so bad in high school that his Senior Year was cut short with no clemency.
