Nice of Nick to try for a shot with 25 seconds left. Not much effort on his part.

PSU has to win all of its matches tomorrow, plus get help. It is pretty much over

Now its my turn to say relax...Myles wrestled an awesome match but let Bo be Bo. Myles is a tough guy to get in on and Bo has had success going upper body and sliding down for an inside trip...of course with a risky wrestler, sometimes it doesn't pan out but isn't this part of what Cael teaches? Bo pins...and it's not because he is conservative. He is just going to have to game plan Myles better. Hat's off to Myles. 184 is going to be a bastard.
This guy...

So here's tomorrow's matchups for PSU

141:
Gulibon vs. Cole Martin (Wisky) in the 7th/8th match

149:
Zain vs. Micah Jordan (Ohio St) for the Championship

157:
Nolf vs. Michael Kemerer (Iowa) for the Championship

165:
V. Joseph vs. Nick Wanzek (Minny) in the Consolation Semis

174:
Mark Hall vs. Bo Jordan (Ohio St) for the Championship

184:
Bo Nickal vs. Emery Parker (Illinois) in the Consolation Semis

197:
McCutcheon vs. Ricky Robertson (Wisky) in the Consolation Semis

285:
Nick Nevills vs. Razohnn Gross (Rutgers) in the Consolation Semis

Bo got beat, plain and simple. In all honesty, sometimes he's lax, he just is. It's the only time he's lost, and it's been kinda a fluke. But he did not attack. Matt just hasn't been aggressive all year. Jimmy, good God, that's all on him or he's sick, but he has no excuse. He didn't even look like he was on the mat.
Here is the deal. Bo needs to attack more and stick with basics and he will beat Martin every time like he has...Martin was more aggressive with his shots....

Geez - are you like the football fans who give up after the first drive of the 1st Q? I'm no koolaid drinker, but we are still firmly in this. Our studs knocked out earlier than expected need to kick butt in the wrestlebacks, win at least 3 finals, and cheer on Pfarr, Brooks and Clark

It's more of a credit to OSU than an indictment of our boys. However, you can't deny we looked bad. Last year's NCAA finals bad.

Yea, it is over but you gotta take into consideration...we literally went in with 8 wrestlers (125 & 133 were dead from jump)...add in JG's performance and we are where we should be...solid performances minus JG's first match and Bo's semi effort.

The strange part about that is that in the dual meet Bo wrestled a very controlled, smart match. It looked like he had gameplanned effectively for Martin and he beat him by 6 and stayed out of dangerous positions. Total opposite tonight. Not sure why, but when he gets frustrated he gets really heavy feet and starts to do this arm dangle thing and his head hands defense disappears. Not the most tactically prurient response to giving up a takedown. NCAA's at 84 are going to be awesome.

A Hail Mary chance, which could occur, but realistically, only that. Without a doubt the most disappointing tournament of the Cael era at Penn State. Injuries at 125 and 133 dictated that everyone perform at their highest level and it just didn't happen. Hopefully Suriano's ankle gets a lot better in the next week or so and he can compete. Also, hopefully, the other guys pick up their game. Not going to Scuffle may not have been good. We know this is a great dual meet team, but we had a limited feel for what kind of tournament team it was. PSU could be sitting in third by the end of the night.

Franklin Restores the Tradition can never post about Myles Martin again. Not ever.

how many points is the consi-semi advancement?

Not saying that it isn't over.... asking for a friend.

Your right...If we had Nick it would not be close....Plus Jimmy and Bo killed us too....

I now know why Spyker is so reviled on this board and why PSU fans get bad rep - even with Nick wrestling this weekend and assuming he's in finals against Gilman - OSU still has finals advantage 6 to 4. Give OSU credit they wrestled their butts off and beat us fair and square. To top it all off the same guy thats been touting Jimmy as potential NCAA finalist for past two weeks throws him and the 4th most dominant wrestler in college this year under the bus. Total D-Bag!

We win all of these matches....

Win the head to head finals against OSU and pin everyone. I think both finals are doable. Zain TF last meeting. I think Nolf by fall or TF. Bo can run up points on the back side.

You're right. We haven't earned this, they have. We're sloppy, slow, and somewhat disinterested or something. Nick, Jimmy, and Matt make zero sense. You either wrestle to win, or get off the mat. I'd rather have Bo lose being reckless, than what the above 3 did. I just cannot explain Jimmy. This isn't about Nationals and all will be fine, something is messed up. It makes no sense wrestling not to lose.

Nick didn't put much effort into the end of his match either.
