How good is Mendez. He was on the verge of TF’ing Gross and now Gross makes a Senior world team.

Probably not good for the team (Gross’ style being pretty loose), but glad Gross beat him.
Remind me again who failed to qualify the weight for the Olympics at the last chance qualifier last May.
Very good. But young and still learning. He seeks out the best competition, doesn't win them all, but isn't afraid to step up. He lost 5-2 to Joshua Rodriguez, from NLWC in the consolation semifinals.
There’s a reason JO has come up short at just about every turn at the senior level. Losers focus on winners. Winners focus on winning.

It was an incredible day of wrestling! Sat 4 rows from the mat and the only real snoozer were the Brady Koontz matches. 12 minutes, 0 offensive points. Outside of that, it was absolutely awesome!
NLWC did what they do best and it was a rough day for Okie St fans. Gross and Jackson were the surprises of the night for me! Gilman completely controlled a really good FS wrestler. Snyder reminded Moore that he is still the little brother. Zain came through HUGE! Velte is a warrior who kept battling despite being clearly frustrated that she couldn't stop bleeding. TMS was pure dominance. What a day of wrestling!
To top it all off, my son got to meet Dan Gable, Bruce Baumgartner, and John Smith!
Exactly what I was thinking. I don’t see Gross doing well at worlds but I’m still really happy he won. He needs to tighten things up if he wants to win on the world stage. Great night by NLWC. Now tomorrow our young studs get to go put on a show! Can’t wait to watch them
Gilman has become one of my favorite wrestlers and people. He is a prime example of how the NLWC can help transform someone into their best version.
