Lee is just ridiculous. He was lucky he was able to fend off those attacks late, but he is as good of a mat wrestler as you will find out of high school.

Dammit...I started cleaning house and lost track of time; turned on tv in time to see Pletcher, but only match I really wanted to see was Tomasello-Lee.

Pletcher is really good. I don't know if Cael went after him hard or not, but if he didn't I understand why. For as good as Pletcher is he's just not offensive enough. He's not going to turn guys and score bonus. He's going to win, but he's going to grind out wins against most of this opponents. Glynn is no stud and a guy ranked #2 at a weight should easily bonus him and it took a riding time point for Pletcher to bonus him.
Pletcher won a ton of matches in high school by one point. I wouldn't be shocked if he won an NCAA title, but he won't win going away doing it.

Slow down. Spencer needs to actually take a shot and score to put distance. How many shots did you see him take?

Yeah. That really surprised me that he only needed the takedown and short time ride out for an extra team point, and didn't attack until 3 seconds left. As the #2 guy, you got to get that point.
Spencer took zero shots. I understand that. He wasn't even close to scoring from neutral. But Spencer is also a TRFR going up against a senior who has won it all. I don't think NaTo has nearly as much room for improving, if at all at this point, as Spencer does.

I think PSU recruited Pletcher, but weren't able to offer him the deal he needed or wanted. If I'm not mistaken, Pletcher wanted badly to wrestle for PSU.
And NATO just missed finishing a few shots. Could reverse itself very easily next time. There was nothing that showed me a widening gap potential IMO.
Flo keeps him #1. If he is #1 with no matches, making a weight cut that was difficult 2 years ago, and having a knee injury, then he certainly remains #1 (here's to you CP and Willie!).
Honestly, seeding won't much matter, as he'll have tough matches as the 1-4 anyway, and will need to go thru two of Lee, the kid from Rutgres, and Cruz (not to mention others). If he is having trouble with the weight management, the matches Thursday and Friday, right after weigh ins may be brutal (that is where Imar seemed the most vulnerable until he met Joseph). Certainly hoping that Nato's ceiling is 4. Happy cheering for Lee, Cruz, and that other kid
