Football James Franklin's gusty decisions help seal 26-25 victory for Penn State

Disagree. The effort in the 1st half is not worthy of a playoff caliber team. PSU ha by a total lack of discipline given Minny momentum and Minny gets the ball to start the 2nd half. If PSU loses they might drop out of the top 12 and deservedly so. If they manage to get it together and win they drop several spots.
We're fine with a loss--I've said that all year--and things keep going our way--see Ole Miss losing. We're safe with a loss
We aren't dropping for a close win--stop--the paranoia has to stop. This isn't 1994. This isn't 2016. This is a TWELVE TEAM PLAYOFF. Stop.

Oh Christ. I swear some people watch nothing but Penn State. Georgia struggled with Umass for a half today. So did OSU with Indiana. Voters don’t watch games. If Penn State wins, which is the only thing that matters, it is playoff worthy.

Rick Neuhisel just said it’s a matter of intensity the Gophers are just playing so much harder. We need to man up
Was going to say the same thing. Our opponent's effort and intensity is almost always better, especially in the first half.

How is it possible that we almost always come out of halftime ready to play and rarely does that happen to start the game? Is it the team leaders? Coaching?

But that's also on the special team's coach. He has to tell the punter that in his own end he HAS to get the punt off as fast as possible and let the coverage guys do their job.
Umm, if a special teams coach of one of the top 10 programs in the country has to tell a punter that he needs to get the punt off quickly when punting out of his own endzone then he should be fired for recruiting and playing a punter that doesn’t already know that. That is pee wee football stuff, shouldn’t have to say anything

Well apparently it needed to be said.

Time for a beer.

I'm on my 3rd drink.

Minnesota outplayed us in the first half.

If we don't get our shit together in the 2nd half, we're looking at the Outback Bowl...and honestly, that's what we'll deserve.

I'm mystified at the play-calling. If not for one bogus DPI, we'd be in more trouble than we already are.

But everything's still on the table. Win it close. Win it ugly. Just win it.

I think we will...
