Willie said he'd guess one of Michigan or Lehigh for Michael today. ASU and Rutgers are in the mix and every school in the country (minus a few) basically called, some offered quite a bit of NIL money as well.
Said Michael was/is very happy at PSU and absolutely 0 hard feelings to the staff for how this played off. His GF is here also and he loves his teammates, training situation. He just can't wait any longer as the starter. Honestly, he wanted to go in 2020 (he beat Shak and Conel in the wrestleoff per Willie) since he kind of redshirted with the gap year.

nothing will make up for lost years of competition. But if there is no hard feelings and he gets on a team to achieve his goals with NIL to boot....well seems its the best anyone could hope for.
this NIL stuff may start upsetting some apple carts and I liken it to the real world.
I have people I work with that have been at their respective companies for years and years. They are making X and happy for the job. However, during the last 2 years they have seen new hires get great starting salaries and sign on bonuses that almost come to what these people are making after years and years on the job. The sign on bonuses seem to be a big rub when these existing employees didnt get holiday pay or hazard pay through COVID, etc, etc
So they are resentful of the younger or newer people.
I could see this with NIL and causing some kids to get a little p!ssy how these bags are distributed.

Hey 3 years from now he should be looking at grad school. Is it out of the question that he could come back for one final year and a swan song national championship? Unlikely for sure, but I expect we would all welcome him back with open arms. I'll keep this one in my hip pocket, to age like a fine wine until it is ready to drink.

MB said he went to PSU because it was the best place for him to be the best wrestler he could be maybe he can beat out Dean next yr if not he would still have 2 yrs to start so really no reason to transfer please stay MB!!
He has been in college for 4 years already and has only started 1, maybe he does not want to stay in school for 3 more years and wants to start now. Cannot fault the man for wanting to wrestle now, especially knowing he has to sit for another.
Let's just hope for a Beard/Dean final in Tulsa next year. That would be pretty sweet.
I agree. Let's hope the seeding falls in place to allow that to happen. And if #11 is locked up, I'll be happy for the winner, whomever that might be.
