NCAA Session 3 Thread

JoJo is good. Really good. If your name isn't Imar, an 11-3 major is pretty much best case scenario when wrestling Jason. Nobody else even gets that close. JoJo is going to be very good the next three years.

Jason Nolf showed it's a 7 min match and BRUTALIZED Jo Jo in the 3rd. He poured it on and Jo Jo had nothing for him. The tilt at the end, I thought Jason was going to pull Smith's arm out of the socket. It was brutal. The entire 3rd was Jason Nolf dismantling Jo Jo. LOVED IT!!!

I really love how Nolf picked it up in the third. JoJo started to melt with the late second period td and the stall call.

I hope Bo comes out and look sharper off the bat than he did yesterday. Giving up a quick TD in the first is not how you want to start against a guy as good as Rogers.

I have butterflies waiting for the Nickal match. Should be an entertaining one.

This match makes me nervous given previous free style encounters between the two of them.

Smith (in Nolf match) literally looked like a bus ran over him when the match ended... he was like what just happened?... momentum changed when their numbnuts coach challenged.. gave Nolf some time to catch his breath... bad mistake

Weatherman took down Deiringer. That's not something you see very often. I guess the kid IS human afterall. Huh.

Me too, and then I think back to when I wrestled and how nerve racking it was before having to wrestle rather than watch it.
My father was a former professional baseball pler. He was generally unflappable. He one told me (when I was older) " I could piss ice water standing at the plate in front of 40,000 people."

When I played QB, my father was so nervous that I would get hurt, that he usually drank a half bottle of crown royal whiskey and pace the sidelines while smoking a cigar until the game was over.

I am sure you parents can relate to the difference.

Bo starting out way better today. Up 2-0 with a nice low single and picks it up for a trip. OOB and a restart.

And 4 NF for Bo. Almost stuck him. John Smith losing his mind. Other assistants clamoring to find it. Probably won't. Challenging saying he never counted. Well, he'll count on the replay, that's for sure.

I think OSU is competing with tOSU for the "most reviews award." Are his guys that out of shape from sucking weight that they need all of these stoppages?

Damn. Bo had the cradle locked and TIGHT. But gets reversed. Then Bo gets reverse. It's 12-3 now. He's working Rogers.

174 Quarters:
Bo Nickal vs. Chandler Rogers (Okla. St.)

The 2nd PSU - OSU matchup in the semis

Per 1
Nickal reaches, nothing. Stalemate at 2:10. stalemate at 1:43. Bo in on a low single, has Rodgers dancing and trips him to the mat, 2-0. OOB at 1:24. Rogers nearly gets a reversal on a roll, but Bo maintains control. He lifts him and takes him to his back, and gets 4 NF. OOB at 37 sec. John Smith wants a conversation. Believe the question is whether there was a NF, as the ref wasn't swiping. Jeff Cook is a good ref, so I doubt this gets changed. No change is the ruling. Rogers to his feet, and hits a roll, and they are OOB at 25 sec. Rogers to his feet and goes flying OOB at 12 sec. Caution on Bo. Rideout. RT at 1:32 for Bo

Per 2
Rogers takes down. Rogers to his base, then sits out and gets the esc in 7 sec, 6-1. Ear to ear, and a stalemate at 1:30. Bo reaches, nothing. Rogers shoots and Nickal sprawls. OOB at 45 sec. Rogers shoots again, Bo sprawls, and OOB at 20 sec. Bo seems passive compared to Rogers at this point. End. RT at 1:39 for Bo

Per 3
Bo takes down. Bo up quickly, and gets an esc at 7 sec, 7-1. 1:32 of RT. OOB at 1:34 when Bo nearly had the TD. Bo in on a single, locks a cradle, and turns him, but Rogers rolls thru and gets a reversal, 9-3.Wow. Nickal esc, then a quick TD off a single, 12-3. OOB at 51 sec. Rogers to his feet, tripped back down. Rogers is out with 35 sec left, 12-4. Stoppage at 32 sec. Bo with a shrug-by for a TD, 14-4. With RT, it's a 15-4 major
