Official PSU - Villanova 2021 Game Thread!

Watching the Wisconsin vs ND game. Wisconsin is a bad team and their QB is God awful. ND is starting to take charge of the game. 12 min left.

Ceiling for this team is probably 10-2. Every game is in play the rest of the way out but Illinois.

You wanna feel good after a game like this, but it really pointed out some huge weaknesses,

None of us will remember the score of this game in a few weeks without looking it up. 38-17 is not close.

I've been switching back and forth between the two games. I mean, the Penn State outcome was a foregone conclusion. So was the letdown.

Big story in Chicago is that ND's starting QB, Coan, has been injured, and the Irish are trying to hold on with their 3rd-string QB.

We’ll point back to this game if PSU loses to Indiana or Iowa
Why? Losing to Indiana or Iowa will have nothing to do with this game. Everyone wanted a comfortable win with no injuries and that’s what we got. Auburn blew out their first two opponents….how did that work out for them against us?

Scores fine Boys it dont matter unless ur betting..

Good experience for the Back ups and the position coaches....Great experience for them actually.

We took our foot off the gas which is fine.
Everyone screams to see the backups then complains when opponents score. CJF can do nothing right. If a key player goes down in the 4th quarter the keyboard coaches scream in unison....why was he in there?
Mutual respect evident between the coaches.....why don't people understand.....it was the last scrimmage.

Where is the second string QB? Only been following the gamecast.

Franklin with poise under pressure during the post game on field short interview:

Good looking young reporter asking same old boring questions.

Franklin's mind: "you're cute, but that's the same old stupid question.."

Franklin's mouth: "Clifford has playmakers around him. Gotta get a little (???) better in the run game. ....."

And they want to see the backup QB play, then when he does and we don’t score, it’s Franklin’s fault.

Because it pointed out PSU’s glaring weakness…the OL and horrible group of RBs….cant run the ball against an FCS opponent?!? Are you kidding me.

Wisconsin will be saved from playing in the weak B10 division but they are a bad team. Very predictable and slow.

Wisky had 1st and goal from the 11. Run. Run. Pass. 4th and goal from the 9. Settle for FG. (ND then returns kickoff for TD and takes the lead).

Good, then all of our opponents won’t even worry about the running game and we will be able to run. Did we not have that “glaring weakness” in wins against Wisconsin and Auburn? We’re 4-0….try to enjoy it at least a little bit.

Whatever good you get out of playing teams in lesser divisions is clearly outweighed by the negatives. Very uninspired effort by this team today.

ND's 3rd string QB some pretty nice throws last drive to put them up 10. Agree Whiskey offense is bland and slow.

Been that way forever…play a good team with skill position…they get exposed.

There’s no holding on. This new QB is playing better than their starter. ND just scored again (TD pass). Wisky appears to now be out of it. 24-13 with 9 min to go.

Don’t think Wisky has the firepower to catch up, even if they had another 4 quarters. Wisky coaches not helping. Down by 11. Run up the middle for 1 yard.

Switch over. Wisconsin is about to take the lead

Yea, hurry up, their awesome offense did absolutely nothing with an ND fumble and had to kick a FG... then ND runs off 14 straight against their incredible defense.... LMAO. Their offense is putting on another clinic of nonproduction... 256 yards on 58 Offensive Plays LMAO and only 13 points. Good grief the morons on here who claim Wisconsin looks like a great football team and PSU looks terrible.... just lucky ... blag, blah, blah...... ad infinitum with their moronic know-nothing about football (or what their watching) bullsheet.

PSU needed to work on and show improvement in areas of weakness to prepare for later. (O line blocking and the run game was the most glaring). PSU was not able to run against a D1-AA team.

34 carries for 80 yards.

The tough games are still to come- at Iowa, at Ohio St, Michigan, at Michigan St.

We'll see about the ceiling. We have enough talent to beat every remaining opponent but we have enough weaknesses to lose to half of them. The running game is a mess.

And if we can throw during those games, we can do okay. We haven’t run well all year and we’re 4-0. We’re obviously not a great running team, but with a great defense, we have a shot in any game. We’ll see more creativity starting next week and that may loosen things up. We’ll see, but every week is different and you do what you have to in order to win.
