I’m wondering - and please talk me off the ledge if I’m wrong - because Franklin emphasizes the “splash plays” so much, does it impact his players’ mentality towards the garden variety plays a team needs to make to sustain drives?

I think there may be something to that. Clifford appears to be ignoring the dump off pass in the flat. For a team that has such problems on 3rd and short, he should be taking those easy yards rather than focusing too long downfield.

There need to be serious questions aimed at the coaching staff over the O line run blocking. It’s been a recurring problem for years that has not been fixed. It will cost this team games this year, especially as the weather worsens later in the season.

Well, the game I am watching I am seeing 6-7 in the box. I am also seeing a QB get hit when Nova rushes 3!

Miranda and Scruggs looked better previously, but whole OL looks pretty unimpressive. This is not an isolated situation with the run offense. MY’s running game is not working with Nova not having to put eight in the box.

One of many issues is the backside blocking of our TE. Theo Johnson whiffed on two blocks resulting in losses. We need the right TE in the game on these running plays.

Lee is going to have a fumble problem. I noticed that he starts his run protecting the ball, as he was probably coached this week, but then really drops the protection when he gets into traffic.

Nova can really only have 7 in the Box at most with our 11 personnel packages-unless they play with No Safety. And lets focus on 10 Personnel what they do when if/we RUN in that formation.
