Don’t understand the rotating backs. For all the more carries he gets would think Cain is on the field entire game. Head scratcher.
I was shocked to see that. Our smallest back and he goes in. Are the offensive coaches drunk?
Not criticizing Franklin in any way, but these are the types of games where Joe would go into the locker room at half time and just out scheme, out adjust, the other coach and put this game away early in the 3rd quarter.
Someone needs to figure out why our blocking schemes leave Wisky's best defender run lose on about every play.......

I hope Clifford has a strong second half and big year, but if its more of the same, you would think there might be a QB change in the mid or late 3rd qtr.

I don’t usually pop into these gameday threads but for gods sake, Clifford looks horrible. He needs to develop some degree of Hackenberg’s weird flat footed thing. He looks like Michael Flatley out there.
But it was his turn in the rotation LOL

Most overrated QB in the B1G. Mertz and Wisky has a huge advantage of playing in the West
What boggles my mind is that Franklin would stick with Clifford this off-season and not bring in a transfer. Can you not evaluate your QB ? Are you blindly loyal?

Right, good point. Good strategy by the coaches to keep RB's fresh rather than wearing anyone out with excessive carries.

OL & RBs 2 " strengths of the team have sucked so far.
I used to think like that but then realized it would be hard to bring in another QB to be a backup as everyone knows Franklin is married to Clifford.
It takes two to Tango. He very well may have pushed for someone, but didn’t find a good fit. I’m sure a lot of guys found better options than coming into a team with an incumbent starter.

You can call me a fair weather fan, and I probably deserve that moniker....but when I passed 55, I decided there would be only 2 things that would have me sitting in front of the TV....being educated or being entertained. I'm being neither right now.
Too many other things I can do. I have a gig at my local beach joint tonight. Maybe I'll drag out the guitar and learn a new song.....any requests?
