Well, they can't run the ball, they break down in pass protect, their quarterback drops his head at the first sign of pressure, and the receivers are not getting open. Other than that, it correctable, right?
Once again the pre-season hype is BS...a much improved OL, one of the best running back "rooms" in the country, and a wunderkind OC...and THIS is what you get????? The only hope is that Yurcich will make some sort of magical "adjustments" at the half.
This can’t be the best QB we have. Clifford looks lost out there….not a good look for a 3rd year starter.
that is correct. when your offense has done nothing, and you have the ball with under 2 minutes DEEP in your territory, and Wisky has 1 TO, you grind the clock out. get to halftime 0-0. giving Wisky the ball back with 1:06 was losing FB. they were lucky Wisconsin decided not to try something. that is the type of thing that loses games. difference between being "aggressive" when you have a basis and just being stupid. shows no understanding of the kind of game we are in.
Time to wear out Cain or someone else.

Clifford has not played great to be fair Wiscy has someone coming clean almost every play ... Oline needs adjusting big time at half
Maybe he looks great in the red jersey at practice.

In the plays where you can see the receivers, there is no separation.
It's apparent Clifford is having a difficult time reading the defense and there is zero imaginative play calling.
So bring guys in motion and throw it to them like they did with #3 for an 8 yd gain. Make things easy for Clifford. I think I saw one throw to the TE....we can't be this bad..
Where is Lovett? He is the breakaway RB. Get him on the edge.
The backup sure couldn't be much worse. Unless he turns it over.
Offensive line is a big problem as usual. QB not nearly good enough with this bad line. Yurcich better earn his money this half.
Maybe he needs more seasoning...what is he 28??

to me we have to go to the TE ... we hear what great athletes they are now it's time to show it. Not enough time to go down the field to WRs and we can't run the ball so let's use these athletic TEs we have
And some of you said that OSU's offense didn't look good. How many would take that trade today? This is putrid

We need to get reverse to Dotson..freaking anything to move ball forward. I see little speed on field, no push on OL and Clifford can't complete plays under pressure.
Clifford doesn’t know how to look off of #5, so once he’s covered, it doesn’t matter who else is open.
this looks a lot like 2015 where Hack had to sit in the pocket and get killed. Hack did not run and DEF knew it. this is now feeling the impact of no Levis. we cannot let Clifford just run other than quick scramble to sideline. We have depended on QB running since 2016. now we no longer have that aspect.
The OC cannot call plays that the QB and OL are incapable of running. This is what you get with limitations at the most important position on the team.
