So smart for Frank. Down 3-2 and had a leg up in the air but had trouble finishing. Instead of continuing to try for the two he did a pouch out to make it 3-3. He won because he had a two point move.
Frank with the excellent technical match... BEATS Brent Metcalf!!!!
Frank with great defense and was very much stronger than Metcalf. Than again... who's stronger than Frank? Frank nuetralized Metcalf's high C... with his quickness and tree trunk arms. Wow... great match by Frank getting a late push out.

It is a shame that the rules allow anyone to win the Molinaro Metcalf match. At least it was FRANK!
Now Logie Bear - ZPain.
Per 1:
Logoie with an early shot, nothing. Retherford with a TD at 30 sec, 2-0. Zain has an ankle, and gets the TD, 4-0. 1 min left. Logie in on a ankle late, and gets the TD, 4-2.
Per 2:
Steiber on a counter for a TD, 4-4. Looks like stoppage for something on the mat. 1:49 left. Steiber with a double for a TD, 4-6. 1:15 left. Steiber with another TD when Zain was trying to do a slide behind,4-8, 40 sec left. Zain with a TD, 6-8. 14 sec left. Logie runs for the rest of the period, and wins it 6-8.
Tank faces Steiber in a semi.

nice work Zain! 3TDs against streebler is pretty darn good for a guy that can only ride and stalls on his feet.
Pico defeated JO, 11-9 in a great match. JO had the lead most of the match, but Pico had a bigger tank, it appeared.
Please. If Zain had a 2 point lead late he would have done the same thing. Zain was better early, but Stieber took control and deserved the win. Nice effort by Zain - him and Pico battling it out in the next cycle.
Frank did some running too in the last few seconds. If I had the choice of wrestling smart and locking down the win or getting a 21guns message board salute, I'm going with the win.
I agree if that match is not stopped Zain wins. Logan was gassed bad at that time and got the rest he needed !!!!
What match were you and loco watching? Are you going by the P-B-P and comments here, because you can't actually have watched the match.
Give Stieber credit - definitely deserved to win. Zain is getting closer.
You guys should get together with the Iowa guys that are going to start screaming over there that Frank did nothing, while their guy basically slept walked through the entire match and allowed the Tank to win it at the end.
This. Frank didn't do a lot in the match and was put on the clock twice but picked his spot in the match and got it done. Anybody see the crotch grab to the crowd after? I was too busy crying in my coffee.
Zain wrestled a great match and thought he was going to win but Streibler is a slick one. Zain is the future of this weight.
Pico is just an animal. I'll miss him if he goes MMA after this. I am rooting for him to take the weight but I think Striebler gets it done.
Don't think anybody is going to qualify the weight though...although I think Pico or Streibler would have the best chance.

Seems like a lot of wrestlers are not in top shape. Oliver and Stieber looked really gassed and Frank looked gassed to me. I mean this is the Olympic Trials. These guys should be in the shape of their lives with a shot of the Olympics on the line. It also appeared that Frank may have injured his hand/wrist that is taped up at the end of his match.
What do you mean qualify the weight ? The winner represents the US right ? Tell you what Pico looks very very tough to beat....
Logan did something no one has really done to Zain, yet. He used Zain's aggression against him. All of his takedowns Zain had his weight over his toes and was reaching. Logan did a good job and deserved the win. He did a great job of coming back as he was totally owned by Zain in the first.
Fair. Although I'm happy to be on the other side of the camp that has a guy that doesn't know what "qualify the weight" means.
A US wrestler has to qualify in int'l tourney opportunities - otherwise no US wrestler will be in the olympics at that weight. Some weights we've already accomplshed that - a cpl others, not. There's 2 more tourneys to make that happen before olympics (I believe)
I know what qualify the weight means - your reading comprehension is quite low. Hopefully you make up for that in math skills

Seriously, spyker. For all the time you spend inside the wrestling room during practices and corresponding with Cael (not to mention discussing spring practice performance with the core members of the football team), you'd think that some wrestling knowledge would come to you merely by osmosis.
I was referring to spyker - who I lumped you in with of having the opinion that Zain would win that match without the mini blood timeout (half of which was Cael cleaning up the mat). Actually, your reading comprehension skills were lacking in reading my post. If I were referring to you, I would have written that instead of "having a guy in your camp who."
