Why does the woman come out at the end of each period and hover by the ref? Can't the ref hear the horn at the end of each period?
Yes he won but he should’ve majored that kid...bottom line. Statement opportunity...5th year senior has nothing to do with it. Keener did his job.
Hope Kuhn didn't get hurt. His left arm stayed limp.

True...just would like to see him do something other than hang around with top guys...go after those you know you can beat. IDK, maybe it’s me...I understand your sentiment but statements will be made at the Big 10 and NCAA tourneys. Hopefully Keener can channel English...
Most of us would be passed out by half if we did that.Drink every time you hear "go ahead and..."
Proof that many aren’t wrestling fans - just Iowa fans. DopesThe Iowa board is a hoot. Zain stalling. Lol

Did I miss HHG in the half-time show?
HR crying that Pipher should have been stalled out. They should be bitching that Kemerer showed no sense of urgency. I'm shocked that he didn't get at the very least a tech. I'll take it though.
Lol...very true...Proof that many aren’t wrestling fans - just Iowa fans. Dopes
Though not as silly as those who would say DT stalled on top
I have to admit, as a wrestling novice, that this is my "what time do the parking lots open?" type question.Really? Have you never seen that before?
The ref is so focused on the wrestlers that to a large extent he tunes out all other noises. At the same time, if the home team's wrestler is close to getting a pin, the fans can be amazingly loud, and drown out almost everything else.
The person (not always a girl) that takes the ref comes out and at 5 seconds usually starts giving a count down so that the ref knows that the end of the period is near. The individual then taps the ref when the clock is at 0:00, and the ref blows their whistle.
The wrestlers, after years of wrestling, are pretty accustomed to stopping on the whistle. Like the ref, they can be so focused on the competition that they don't really hear the buzzer.
