I have no idea what Iowa has after this senior laden roster leaves after ‘21-‘22, but my bet is they are going to bring in a lot and it will be very good.
Bartlett does look (and wrestle a bit) like a younger and smaller Vincenzo Joseph. 15-7 win

I said next year so it would be 4 v 1. Next year I think those freshman PSU wrestlers will be more seasoned and will win the title over that senior ladened Iowa team. So yeah, I wouldnt trade for anyone...

They will beat us at all weights this year, Spencer is better than any wrestler that we’ve ever had and Cael’s a liar .. saved you the trip.
They’re saying the same thing I’m saying. Iowa will win this year and next.
I won’t start a new thread like I did for OSU. I’ll just expand on this thread with my breakdown.
First and foremost, I tip my hat to Maryland. Those guys didn’t look intimidated and wrestled hard. I don’t think one of them really stalled their way through the entire match. They’re just no on the level of PSU and that’s nothing to be ashamed of.
285: Welcome Mr. Kerk, hard to give an analysis when he wasn’t on the mat that long, but he looked good and healthy. Things just got a lot more interesting.
125: Robbie with a little swag. Looked loose on his feet, scored on top, everything you want to see from a true freshman, with limited matches, heading into BIGs.
133: RBY scores double digits again. Looking forward to seeing him go with the other top dogs.
141: NLee puts up another workman like performance. They put up “Mr Technique” on the screen, and that about sums in up.
149. I may have been wrong in guessing BearClaw goes at BIGs. It appears as of now it’s Bartlett’s weight. Ability was never an issue, it was size. After seeing him go tonight, with Sasso, and Gardner tonight ( although up a weight ) I think he scores more points than any other option we have here.
157: Gardner gets the call here and gets a win on senior night. I’m told Berge is fine, and this was known in advance he wouldn’t be available tonight. Good win by Luke. If this was the last time we see him, it’s been a pleasure, and he was a real asset to the team.
165: JLee looked good on his feet. Good rebound match after getting out of position and put to his back against OSU. Hopefully this a builder and what we can expect at BIGs.
174: Starocci hits a beautiful high c and completely misses the leg to give up a takedown. Then comes back, gets a handful of takedowns of his own, and rides tough. I’m sure he has Labs and Kem in his sights.
184: Brooks is so smooth on his feet. Stays loose and is looking to score for 7 minutes. He just does everything well, and is stronger than he looks. I think he’s the guy that everyone is worried about at this weight.
197: Beard worked hard the whole match. Appeared he was going for a tilt in the first period when he got reversed. Would have liked a few more turn attempts on top rather than just a ride, but, he had good forward pressure and built up the ride time regardless.
All in all, tough to get a gauge against a team like Maryland. I absolutely mean no disrespect by that. Like I said before, I give them all the credit in the world the way they wrestled. The team definitely looked better against OSU but I’m sure they looked forward to that one a little more.
I don’t think the team has peaked quite yet, which is awesome news, and scary. Cael will undoubtedly have them ready, and selfishly BIGs can’t get here soon enough. Although I’m sure with Cael’s plan, it will be here right on time.

Gable will probably just default at Big 10s if they match up After seeing Kerk pin 2 Maryland heavys he know he doesn’t have a chance.
Feel bad for the 2nd UMD heavy, he's been thru the grinder. Got Gable, Paris and Kerk in just the six bouts he's wrestled.
Shouldn’t you be back over on HR drooling over Spencer?
Aaron Brooks is outstanding. Pretty good wrestler too. What an interview.
