Why would you say he secured 1 seed? If they both go undefeated until B1Gs, Bull has just as much right to #1 seed based on this year’s results.
Fortunately, It really doesn’t matter what seed they give Cenzo. He’ll do what he does, doesn’t matter the path IMO
The definition I provided is simple and completely eliminates fan bias.
I’m not worried about Cenzo, and maybe you’re right about bull’s seed. And yeah, White will be interesting...
I like to say our early season is pretty light on competition. Sure we have to shake off a little rust, but we're are healthy and it is a long season.
Nick really needs to tighten things up, that was pretty sloppy. He really didn't ride well either. He'll have a real tough time with McKenna wrestling like this. McKenna beat this kid 14-2 earlier.
Berge is still learning and growing but it was disappointing to watch, he controlled that match and let it get away from him. I did like his 3 early takedowns.
Hats off to the Badgers for being up to the challenge, beating higher ranked Lions is no easy task.

Hey it seems to happen once a year when the team looks tired. Remember their goal is located in Pittsburgh and the training is geared for that. Just don’t make the same mental mistakes again. Wisconsin came with a game plan and executed it well. Bono had an effect already.
I appreciated UW's effort today. There was a great deal of stalling in some of the contests

No spoilers here but Suriano vs Fix was the worst match Ive seen in years.
Michigan is the one that stood out for me last year—the whole lineup looked sluggish. Just like today.
Same here. Nolf,Hall,Nickal all had tight matches. All 3 against high ranked guys. Maybe spoiled because I still expected them to wreck those guys.
I choose to remember that dual for the brutal, emasculating half Zain put on Amine -- after telling the coaches he was going to pin Amine for getting slappy.
It seems this type of performance happens every year because it does happen ever year. So I'll say what I said last year after an lackluster performance, PSU is right on track to bring home yet another National Championship.
Last January 12th Michigan gave the guys fits. Team looked sluggish. I believe that Cael pushes the team real hard the week before classes start every year.
It's impossible to be up for every match during the grind. Once in a while you run into a team that sees a match as their Super Bowl when you view it as just another step toward March.

Speaking of crowd size, support, and impact, I caught a bit of the MSU v. tOSU match today and was surprised at all the empty seats. The venue looked 3/4 empty. I'm sure that's due in part to the opponent being the lowly Spartans. But geez, is it ever not standing room only at Rec Hall, regardless of opponent?
Just my opinion...maybe the coaches treat these 3 day weekends like the nationals. Weigh ins everyday, maybe wrestle hard on Saturday as well in practice. Then come final Sunday dual is like trying to get through AA rounds. It battle tests the guys early to see how they can go deep in the tournament.
Cael said the coaches were to blame for some of the performances as they may have overworked the guys...the end goal is March...

The kids were aggressive, they hassled to the center of the mat, for the most part they wrestled to the end, Bono is a very big get for the program, this makes the strongest conference even stronger.

Gotta love Bono’s attitude. When asked about preparing for Northwestern next week and facing Rivera and Deakin, he said: “It’s an opportunity to beat the best guys in the country. I wish they had ten #1 guys.”
It's funny, I saw the same thing, but didn't consider it anger at all. Thought he was posturing for the next calls, that's all. Playing the ref a bit, nothing more. Cool customer imo, though I'd be interested in hearing other's thoughts.
