I rarely post on here being a Hawkeye fan and all but I have to call this out as I have seen this guy be just as big a homer as some of the guys on HR. This might be one of the dumbest posts someone could write. Read it again and tell me I'm wrong.
The future, Senior Level, has yet to be written for both Yianni and Spencer. I'll always root for the NLWC guys, but for these two, the skies the limit.

It's dumb but I know you've read Ironbrains post on the HR and it's no where close to as dumb as the stuff he post. It's also no where close to as dumb as Grip saying Iowa will shutout PSU this year in the dual. Also don't forget that someone predicted that Iowa would score 170 at nationals last year.
Why all the Hawk fans here lately? Are you guys in the middle of reinventing wrestling or something?

To be fair, I think it was their "million dollar donor" that predicted the 170 points at nattys. I mean his wrestling knowledge does seem rather suspect but I'd say they would be foolish to call him out on it.
The difference between PSU fans and Iowa fans predicting 170 team points is PSU actually had a chance.
Does this hurt your feelings? Is it OK for Bo to talk about PSU winning titles, but not Spencer? You can't have it both ways.
Also, he's a kid that's speaking to a stadium full of Hawk fans. What did you want him to say, "Buy your tickets now to watch the Hawkeye's finish behind Penn State at Nationals!"

Each base has their overboard fans I will agree. I live in the real world when it comes to how many points we will score at nationals or shutting out PSU in a dual. I'm just saying this guy has a history of making stupid comments galore. I get being a fanboy, and yes Iowa has theirs as well, and cracking jokes or making a funny all in good fun, but some posters just believe everything they type.
P.S. Isn't this the guy that lost a bet, had to wear a Hawkeye shirt, and then put it on under another shirt? Maybe even a PSU shirt? Sounds about right.

I'd say anyone predicting 170 is delusional (or at least has unrealistic expectations).
But, the people predicting it for the team that has scored at least 120 for the past 4 years are slightly less delusional than the people predicting it for the team that hasn't scored 100 in 8 years.

1) I'm sorry I made you sad when I brought up your shutout prediction. The good news on that prediction is the dual will happen this year and we'll see how close you were.
2) I have 21 post on this board so I would hardly consider myself a "BWI poster". I enjoy reading BWI because they do call out posters for bad takes and are pretty welcoming to other fan bases.

170 at NCAA's is not the goal. Even some here predicted PSU to be close last year, which I guess was possible if the stars aligned...though frankly it wasn't important.
The landscape is different than 1997, and I may not see 170 or more in my lifetime. Fine with me, as the odds are great that I'll see more National Championships.
