I actually watched both his matches against Vargo and neither the loss, nor the win, were flukes. At the moment he is a rare special talent, but wildly inconsistent. This is probably more common than not. Everybody can't be Kolat. Peaking in high school is actually common also, the Alton twins might be an example of this too. Let's pump the brakes JUST a tiny bit, I think he's still just a junior in high school.

I don't think the Altons peaked in high school just got hit with injuries . Dylan placed third as a freshman.

You know you have a point there. I think they both got injured early and often and I think it was Andrew who had some kind of unusual breathing disorder that caused him to gas out remarkably early in matches as I recall.
