Hair wash day. Had to organize the sock drawer. Also, caught Mono.Oh, hey flo! Welcome to the party!
I wasn't expecting them to be beating the Trackwrestling Drum or anything, but it seemed at least some of the twitter accounts should be somewhat active.

So you're saying Flo doesn't have a plan?Kinda weird how Flo is completely ignoring U23s. They obviously don't have video rights--but that didn't stop them from covering Jr's and Sr's. I mean--to the US, this is probably the least important of the age group tourneys--but it still seems weird.

Hanging out with Spencer again?

they should hire a beat writer!Agreed! Track also had exclusive rights to the senior worlds, but Flo had a full team in Nur Sultan and posted a bunch of videos and articles before, during and afterwards. I think the bigger issue with the general lack of U23 coverage might be (a) the event is only three years old and doesn't matter as much even as cadet and junior worlds, and (b) the high school and college seasons are here, so most of their fairly limited staff is pre-occupied
I'm afraid he's going to have to leave Columbus if he wants to reach the next level ...
Turns out Budapest is 5 hours ahead of us in Eastern Time (not the 6 that USAWrestling listed). That means Berge’s repechage round starts at 5:30 EDT, and Finals start at 1pm.When are the finals?
It's only 5 this week, as we turn the clock back this weekend, and it will again be 6Turns out Budapest is 5 hours ahead of us in Eastern Time (not the 6 that USAWrestling listed). That means Berge’s repechage round starts at 5:30 EDT, and Finals start at 1pm.
I'm not sure it's clear at what point Berge was out, but Gourav made multiple attempts to tilt and wasn't able to score on each of them, so I think Berge was at least hanging in there, until he suddenly wasn't and went flat on his back. The UWW will have video at some point.Berge took a good low shot and then seemed to just go limp. Gourav went right behind and locked a trap arm before the ref noticed Berge was completely out. Very scary seeing him out cold.
UWW events camera always goes away when serious injury occurs. Was in on a single and took a knee to his head.Hope he's okIt's disturbing that there have been no updates. I asked the USA Wrestling Twitter account for an update, will post back anything I hear.
It was also disturbing how the camera went away from Berge as soon as medical trainers came over; I don't know whether that was UWW policy, perhaps out of respect for medical privacy, or whether the person working that camera decided on their own, but it struck me as probably due to the former, and probably having more to do with following a maxim that injuries make the sport look bad so don't publicize them, as opposed to medical privacy concerns. Maybe Mike C can ask Foley what's up with that.
Regardless of how long, I just hope that he's ok. Head injuries are always serious. With HIPPA and other considerations I doubt we will hear anything official from PSU. It will probably have to come from Flo or Track or Intermat as from there POV this is a news story and at least one will have someone local following up. It might take days as opposed to hours ...
That's good news. Phew. No need for specifics, but released is good.
