OT: X-Files stuff. The Pentagon is messin with our food.

Not sure how many of you know this, but the X-Files was quite the prescient show. It had an episode where a shadowy group within the government was going to hijack a plane and fly it into the World Trade Center. This episode aired a few months before 9/11. And one of the main plot lines in the show was about this same shadowy group using bees to spread an alien virus.

College Football may use the name "College", but let's face it , it

is at the least Semi-pro. It is all about money. Why else do you pay a Kent State a million to have a home game. ESPN and the rest of the networks have transformed the game into a money machine. Players leave to go Pro, and who can blame them. And how many come back for the degree. Very few. Those that make it and can manage the money don't need the degree.

Extremely hard to whittle this list down to 9 (left one space for write in's), and I focused a lot on the 'legendary' acts (with a few controversial contemporary ones thrown in for color). Hard to compare eras, but whatever - write in whomever you want. Also, this isn't limited to best singer/voice; think charisma, celebrity, etc. Hope this is fun for everyone and look forward to a LOT of write-in's....Also, everyone can vote for three, so should hopefully make for a bit of variety in the answers.

CAVEAT: I did not put Paul McCartney or John Lennon on this poll because both fronted The Beatles for the most part and they started out as a pop band. Still, write in if you like.

Pat Nardouche

Multiple people (media and non media) have reported that Pat Nardouche had a party/bbq at his house very recently and after the party was over, he expected the long time (31 yr employee) football equipment manager to serve as the janitor around his house. The equipment manager objected to the request, the two got into an argument, and Heather Lyke then fired the equipment manager. Coach keychain is a real class act.

Nardouche knew. Lock him up.

App State fans share their experiences in Happy Valley. #successwithhonor

"The true sign of this came as Appalachian walked off the field. PSU fans stood and cheered for the opposing team. While fans were already leaving, many stopped and joined in the applause. It was a complete class act by the Nittany Lion fanbase."

This is what College Football is all about.

Pitters still calling Pickett a stud QB!!

I ventured over to the Pitt board and there's a thread where a poster calls Pickett a stud QB. Ok, here's how he did yesterday:
Yds 55
Att 18
Yds/Att 3.1
QBR 13.1

I have nothing against this kid, but he was simply ordinary yesterday. He made a few nice runs but showed nothing in the passing game. I was expecting much more based on the Kenny Football build-up. He might turn out to be really good, but he's very early in the process of becoming a legit P5 QB.
