Flynn looking pretty good in his first action back at 165. I'd favor him over Lee at this point, but not by much.
I'm a big fan of your posts LP, but gotta say that this one didn't age well.
Wow, Joe Lee looking great!

Did anyone notice that Roar was off on his prediction by a few minutes. Just saying, not that it's a big deal or anythingNot going by bout number. Looks like 125 R16, then 133 R16, then 141 R16, and on and on.
Should be just before 5:00, maybe as early as 4:45 for Joe Lee to hit he mat.

Damn. I wanted to see Smith vs Lee.
Pretty much. He did it again against Surratt with about 1:25 to go in third. This ref had no problem with it.Is this the one Cenzo uses a lot? Like a crossface from behind with hands locked on tricep, followed by a quick crank? Just trying to picture what is being discussed . . .
Sorry, don't follow. You referring to Jo Smith?NoJo loses
Now I'm really confused, as Jo Smith is at 174, and Lee is at 165.Damn. I wanted to see Smith vs Lee.

Smith is hard to figure out. Sometimes he can look so good, and other times. . . I realize this is his first time back this year, so we'll cut him a little slack. But throughout his career he can look great sometimes, and very so-so other times. I remember last year at the Scuffle he gave Hall all he could handle in the finals. Smith beat McFadden decisively in the semis. He almost beats Marinelli in 1st round at the NCAA's and then doesn't even place. We'll see how his senior year goes--he has so much talent.Starocci wins 12-2, Joe Smith loses 7-2 to De La 'Riva NDST

yep, thought that he might take neutral to practice his take downs.
Does anyone know who is in the PSU corner for the Scuffle??
Amazing how just 3 wrestlers can make this tournament so much more interesting. Are they done for today?
I was at the Scuffle for that first match between Smith and Nolf, and Smith sure looked slick that night, even in a losing effort! He definitely is a Hit o Miss Kid....After the Match he Gave Nolf all those years ago I would have guessed he would have been alot more consistently good at this point. In his defense, Injury is probably the reason but I don't discount the Pressure of being a legends son. I think his Debut against NOLF probably created alot of hype around him he did not need as being compared to his father already...very tough to overcome for anyone no matter what the talent level.
Catching up on replays. Citadel coaches must have slept with the pairing committees wives.
You think? If Beard is as good as many around here seem to think, I would expect him to handle someone like Pagano. Pretty much like he did.Pagano will be a nice test for Beard...top 20 kid and Senior to boot
