With two Cali guys in the lineup expect a trip to the central coast and the Bay Area for Stanford and Cal Poly duals. Maybe throw in a Fresno and Oregon State match and stay 14 days. Cael spreading the gospel

Maybe a quad meet or something like that to save on travel costs but catch as many west coast squads as they can. I believe they owe Oregon State an away match. Fresno just re-added wrestling not too long ago. I'd bet they would like to host PSU.

Not convinced CStar wrestles next year. If he wins the open I think he trains for a shot at Burroughs in the fall and at the BJC next April.

As an aside @west2east, since you pride yourself on straight talk on social media, what are your thoughts on big Iowa booster Bob Nicolls?

Disagree about Iowa winning 2 straight if they had a 2020 tournament. Iowa would have lost Marinelli, Kemerer and Eireman in 2021 if there was no Covid.

What am I missing here? 2020 counted against everyone’s eligibility, so how would they have lost those three wrestlers for the 2021 season had the 2020 tournament been wrestled?

The reading is good tonight! Lots of total capitulation among the Iowa faithful. I was a student fan in the 60’s and an on & off again season ticket holder throughout the 70’s & 80’s. I’ve held season tix steadily since 1992 ….. so as you might imagine, ….. I know well the hopelessness that Iowas wrestling fans are feeling tonight. It’s their fooking turn to search!

Hell…without Covid, PSU would’ve had Cenzo and Mark in 2020, so even 1 Iowa title wasn’t a given, even though they would have been the favorites.

Kemerer blowing a knee ironically lined Iowa up better. Otherwise he's supposed to be in a class with Cenzo and Hall and thus lose the rest of his eligibility in 2020. Instead he got 2021 which didn't count. Similarly, I think if we had a healthy lineup (Cassar, Berge never gets hurt, Shak heals better) then they might pull Eierman out of desperation in 2020 and lose him as well. Similar to what Matt Kolodzik did in 2020. Decide to leave ORS for the team.

I think Teske can be a high AA and beat Nagao if he hits the weights and puts on some muscle this off season. He got over powered this year moving up to 33......he has a damn good gas tank...
