Most impressive PSU wrestler for me so far today is Greg Kerkvliet. Which says just how amazing Steveson is.

Kerk will win next season. BOOK IT!!!
I think Kerks neutral game may have prompted GS to ride him in the first. Who else has he rode like that this year. Parris maybe?Kerk put up a game fight but needs to bulk up to compete with Steveson (if that's even possible, LOL). Kerk is just as quick, but Steveson is so powerful there was little Kerk could do. Nice to see him get a TD at the end anyway. Has anyone else gotten a TD against Steveson (either in this tourney or all year, really)?
Almost like making weight 2 days straight was an issue? Like you say, he had almost nothing right from the start; just very flat.Really surprised by Beard. He had nothing in that match against a very beatable opponent. Completely spent and on his heels from the opening whistle. He'll think about this opportunity for a long time.
Talk about Steveson going MMA, but if he doesn‘t, I don’t see how he can be anything But a strong favorite next year.I think so too. With 15-20 extra pounds and another year in the room, he's going to be very, very hard to beat.
Yeah, the ride with no real attempt to turn was a real sign of respect towards Kerk.I think Kerks neutral game may have prompted GS to ride him in the first. Who else has he rode like that this year. Parris maybe?
GS didn't want to play catch and release like he does with others.
Hot dishwhat do they feed these beefers in Minnesota anyway?
That's what I thought too. He knows Kerk isn't 100% and he didn't want to mess with him any more than he had to on his feet. A little more weight and a chance to get some conditioning in and Kerk will be much tougher.I think Kerks neutral game may have prompted GS to ride him in the first. Who else has he rode like that this year. Parris maybe?

He did--he covered Gable vs. Parris extensively--just ask @Tom McAndrew .Jeff just said that Kerk was a "really good bottom wrestler." Apparently he missed the Cassioppi match.
Feature article about GS in Minneapolis paper this week. I think he wants to be rich and goes pro next year. I sure hope so.Talk about Steveson going MMA, but if he doesn‘t, I don’t see how he can be anything But a strong favorite next year.
I try to be a realist.
I haven't heard MMA. I have heard WWE as his next stop.Feature article about GS in Minneapolis paper this week. I think he wants to be rich and goes pro next year. I sure hope so.
If he winds up winning Olympic gold or even a medal, I would book it.Feature article about GS in Minneapolis paper this week. I think he wants to be rich and goes pro next year. I sure hope so.
2x champ, 3x finalist, 4x AA Tony Nelson.Who does Minnesota have in the room to push Steveson?
Is that in this session?Kerk gets the winner of Elam (Mizzou)/Harris (Ok St)
Sloan or a rematch w/ DavisonSIAP but any idea who Beard gets in blood rounds? I imagine it's someone tough (the top bracket was loaded) and seeing how he looked against Woodley, not feeling it at all.
Right. The article mentioned WWE.I haven't heard MMA. I have heard WWE as his next stop.
Skidsteer or Tony Nelson!😉Who does Minnesota have in the room to push Steveson?

I forgot:Warner losing was satisfying.
Better than Caffey or Schultz though....Yeah ... not feeling that, would love to be proven wrong though!

Beard was by far the biggest disappointment of the day for me. Not only that he lost, but the way he lost.Beard fresh is about as good on his feet as any of them, and might beat ayone, and certainly has improved his conditioning, but he still has the worst stamina of any of the good 197ers, and its not close.
Just not enough stamina for a grueling tournament.
He should lift, lift, and run, run, run, run.
Doggone.
Better than Caffey or Schultz though....
If there is a God, Valencia is out of the tourney. I don't want to see another like Lewis wrestle.
Should be a fun match with Hall next round. Both true freshman.Nice tourney so far for Nijenhius.
It's Harris who just pinned Elam.Is that in this session?
Interesting run for Harris. Lost to 4 seed Schultz from AZ State in first round, then took out seeds 3 and 11 today. If Kerk gets by him, in the next round he gets .... 4 seed Schultz from AZ StateKerk will wrestle Harris. 29 seed from ok st.
