Jesus. This kid has heart at least. I'm sure glad he proved me wrong.

That match was the perfect example for why riding time should be eliminated.
Kid from UNI did nothing but hang on an ankle for better part of 4 minutes
I know we're only watching Iowa and Michigan, but Sasso and Yanni didn't even get majors.

Hard to believe Nick Lee blew that tech fall despite looking good for the rest of the match. Hope that half point (or whatever it is) doesn't make a difference.
I don’t think it’s been discussed yet, but he was up 14-0 with a riding time point locked and he was dominating on top. I thought “Great, ride and try to turn for the late pin and get the tech with the RT point if you can’t turn and just ride out.” He cut him and I thought well there goes the shot at a pin and then he gets taken down and loses the tech too. What was he thinking with that? Hope the 1/2 point isn’t a big deal down the line. The tech was all but secured before he cut him.

16 Berge vs 17 Willits (ORST)
Guys cleaning mats without looking directly into ultraviolet lights…
Berge working the head with heavy tie. Tries to set up ankle pick. Nothing thru 1:00. HW shoots…Berge sprawls and stuffs it. Some heavy hands. HW gets an ankle but Berge kicks out. Closest thing to a score thus far. 0-0 after one.
HW takes bottom. Out in 6 secs. 1-0 HW. Berge the one taking territory but no committed shots. Certainly trying to set one up. Takes a couple of shots after I type that. 1-0 HW after two.
Berge takes bottom. To his feet and almost out but the hard return. To his feet again but returned again. Can’t get out. 1:17 to go on restart. Has to get out! Caution HW. They keep changing clock and RT while waiting to restart. Scramble now. Berge can’t get out. 55 secs to go on restart. RT goes over a minute for HW. Finally out with 41 secs to go. Full on stall by HW. Got to call it! Then HW shoots for a stalemate. 12 secs to go. Berge goes down 2-1. Ref swallowed his stalling whistle, IMO. That’s a tough loss.

Willits on the Deakin 157lb weight plan I see. That height and that build does not look possible for 157 to me.
