I don’t think it’s been discussed yet, but he was up 14-0 with a riding time point locked and he was dominating on top. I thought “Great, ride and try to turn for the late pin and get the tech with the RT point if you can’t turn and just ride out.” He cut him and I thought well there goes the shot at a pin and then he gets taken down and loses the tech too. What was he thinking with that? Hope the 1/2 point isn’t a big deal down the line. The tech was all but secured before he cut him.

Tough result for Brady. That guy stalled so much, but Brady did not push the action nearly enough. He heads to the backside a match earlier than anticipated, but plenty of tournament left.

The problem with the officiating is that the Oregon State kid did less than AB did in the B10 Finals and I don't think he's dinging another stalling in a million years.

how exactly was that not a stall on willits? the ref counted to 4 for willits riding below the waist, berge kicked out, then willits jumped back on for another 4 count. so effectively willits rode for 9 seconds without being above the waist. what am i missing? if it's all riding time then it should all count for below the waist time, right?

Can't speak for Nick, but there didn't seem to be any reason to think he couldn't take him down easily take him down quickly to end the match. He had done so with no problem at all so far. Why not end the match early and conserve some energy?

Score points have fun is great but it just isn't reality for 9/10 wrestlers. Just so happened the 1/10 has worn blue and white so much that we are spoiled.
