Here's an idea, how about every wrestler bring two headgears to the mat?

There’s usually an extra one there. Tyler’s corner had a 2nd one.

I remember reading Hoffman and his family were huge psu fans and that was the goal.
Beard committed and they felt a bit butthurt weren’t quiet about it.

I talked with one of the Montoursville coaches when Gavin was going through the recruiting process. I asked if he was going to PSU, and he said Gavin knew the coaches and wrestlers from working out at Lorenzo. The coach stated that you have to earn your scholarship at PSU. I don't think Gavin was ever offered by PSU, even though the family was huge fans. Butthurt for sure.

Until Bob begins to openly recruit the Penn State wrestling room Bob is at best paying multiple millions of dollars annually hoping to get a participation trophy.

He already has. Tried to poach Lilledahl thos past summer.

If I remember correctly it was more like Hoffman had an offer and he wasn’t committing. Beard was committed to Northwestern. Since Hoffman still wasn’t sure or ready to commit they started to push for Beard as well and said first one to commit gets the spot and Beard took it… And then kicked his butt (pinned him) the first time they wrestled.

Beard decomitted from NW and re-opened his recruiting. He was also looking hard at Cornell. Cael recruiting Beard had little/nothing to do with Hoffman. It was more like: the #1 guy in the country is available and he's in-state, need to at least kick the tires. I don't think Cael had offered Hoffman yet, and Beard became the priority.

Also, their first match was still in HS (IIRC at WNO) and Hoffman won that.

While there was an extra headgear in Tyler's corner, I'm not sure it was his. He did not try it on and was not interested in using it.

IMO, there should be a headgear that is "immediately" interchangeable with the one the wrestler is using.

I’m pretty sure he’s still trying to keep communication open with Marcus and PJ. I did see Marcus with what looked like ice cream yesterday, but it wasn’t a cone.

I wonder if his teammates at UV call him that.

I’m surprised UVU hasn’t done some clever sloganeering with Bear Claw’s name, kinda like Maryland’s “It’s Miller time.” There are so many possibilities.

Like maybe a legal theme: “Nobody is above the CLAW! Terrel bringing UVU justice to Nationals.”

Nothing is illegal if no one reports it and nothing will be done until that happens, even if they do report it who knows if anything would be done.
Everyone likes crying about it but no one does anything to actually make a difference. And Bob knows this.
