That 4th down decision was one of the worst in Franklins career.
So frustrating to watch. Looks like the same old stuff. We don't have anyone on offense that OSU can't cover and our defense will eventually become gassed. I expected them to go man to man and shut us down.
Offense came into this game unprepared. That's a tragedy as there was plenty of time to come up with more than flee-flickers and double pass trick plays.
Mike, what was your plan if Drew was nervous? He's been regressing. Mechanics even look bad. Why?

Remember all the talk this week of how good the offense was?
Regardless of the outcome, I'm very, very, very impressed with our defense. If we lose, the season comes down to one game but hopefully there's a miracle left in this one.
The brain trust at PennState will never get rid of Franklin. 9 or 10 wins keeps the seats full.
Man, I would love just one bad call to go in our favor and let us have the free 7 points in one of these games against OSU or UM for once. How many times would we have had the W in these close games?
Because people want to pretend teams like Iowa and WVU are good then they're confused when we play an actual defense that can stop us and doesn't tire because they have depth. This is why I'm "as annoying" as I am because I want people to be realistic.

I think things can be summed up succinctly. Our receivers just plain suck.
That wasn't necessary with 7:31 and 3 TOs.
Even if he was going to go for it he should have run on both 3rd and 4th down.

Franklin has done a bunch of dumb things but that’s the stupidest one I’ve seen. It’s a one score game. You do not go there period. This is what happens when you guarantee a guy megabucks and they’re just in it for the money.
And I like Franklin. I just think he's Mark Richt v 2.0. Richt was a great coach just couldn't get them to the next level.
Apparently our TEs such too. A 6'5" TE should be able to catch a ball over a 6'1" DB.
I think the worst (?) part is we haven't turned the ball over. We're just that inept.
He reminds me of Mark Richt at Georgia. Nice guy. Wins most games he’s supposed to against lower level teams, but occasionally blows one of those too. Can never beat the top competition.
Need not worry as long as we go to a New Years Day bowl everyone is always happy
