There are two many 2 and 3 syllable words in that article that Gilman could never understand.
Not enough pictures either.
Hes strange. Its uncomfortable for me to see a college wrestler act like a twelve year old. It's actually kinda creepy.
If I was his coach, I'd launch Gilman to the locker room. Cool his ass down.
His punk antics have no place in the sport.
Dominate your opponent, but also respect him.

He can become a smoke detector salesman, or live out of a van for several years like some of the other grads.
I haven't seen anybody at 157 who I think has any chance of keeping Kemerer from wrestling Nolf in the 157 finals.
If Clark doesn't make the finals at 133 Iowa could have 3 finalists, all wrestling Penn State kids.

I coached junior high wrestling. I can guarantee you if one of my wrestlers acted like Gilman, he would be sitting out matches until he got my message. If he never got the message, he wouldn't wrestle again.

I don't recall, did Gilman run his mouth and behave this way in prior years? I remember him being somewhat confident but this behavior of his seemed to be missing. If so, I'm wondering why. Could it have been that he knew there was a very good possibility he couldn't completely back up his talk? I'm thinking he's the quintessential bully.... Run your mouth and act tough only when you think you won't have someone eventually shut you up. I hope Nick finds a way to shut him up in a big way...see a temper tandrum at the podium and send him out as a 0 time national champion.
These kids can't wrestle forever.
After he makes a run at freestyle, and his body breaks down, I'm sure he can always find a job in Iowa City as bar bouncer or a oil change technician at Jiffy Lube.
I agree, but he only acts like this when he's going up against a kid that he knows he will beat. Notice that he hasn't acted like that against a PSU wrestler. The kid just tried too hard to be a bad ass.

Liz totally ran out of gas at the end of the 2nd period. Great comeback by Gilman. Very entertaining match.
