Is an OC hotboard coming?

All guesses are welcomed at this point.
Just having some fun. Some really are serious? Like we have any control. LOL.....One of my biggest thrills this holiday season will be reading the cries of disappointment when an OC is named. Priceless.

Hey that's the rumor, see how it shakes out speculation is fun. We will all know soon enough. Theres maybe 1 real insider on TOS and he isnt talking. The rest pure speculation. Rivals much better than TOS.

I wouldn't classify names that leaked everywhere including Twitter, Facebook and Reddit as premium info. Dont believe TOS posters. They live in a vacuum that's why I come and go there. Funny crew over there.

I'll let you in on another secret, leaks go both ways. If you dig around certain teams forums their insiders leak the same info.

So show me what is premium info? Flight tracker lol? Its public info and the names are all over twitter and reddit. Here's another hint, when these sites post pictures of the coaching prospects it's a dead give away lol.

You had a meltdown and threatened to contact the CEO of CBS Sports (???) because someone called you an idiot on TOS, and then ran over here to share info from behind the paywall.

Big time goober energy. It radiates off of you.

Yeah, well your coming and going days are about to end. Don't come here bringing info from premium boards, then trash their board. That's beyond dumb. Keep it up and you won't be welcome anywhere.

Well, he's officially no longer welcome. It's a back look on Rivals to allow him to do this.

Im moderately confused as to what is going on here. Is this implying that Brady is interested in the position and vice versa? Is this accurate?
Someone took an old tweet of his and tied it to new info. Look at the date of his tweet...these guys aren't saying crap if the have been contacted or not. If you are applying for a job, do you tweet that out to your current employer? The first name you hear is hardly the first one that you end up with. LSU is so happy to beat Bama after a decade they may pay him twice his real value....you never really know what is going on there.

Yeah, good points, it looked awfully fake.

We really need Sekrah to weigh in on this...

Just to play devil's advocate...

Everyone who says that LSU would outbid PSU to keep Brady....Franklin just got a commitment from PSU for $70 million in facility improvements to sign his extension. Caleb Williams, the 2021 QB #16 overall prospect, favors LSU right now and their passing game. Williams likes PSU enough to just visit a couple of weekends ago. He's a tremendous dual threat QB. No guarantees, but if bringing in Brady gets you improved shot with Williams, go get it done. Match what LSU offers. We get, what $55 mil from the Big Ten every year, and put 105k in the stadiuim every game. Spend the freaking money.

My gut feelings tell me what you are thinking, may happen.

Here's the deal, the staff is incredibly tight lipped on this search. Don't believe anything on Wiki or Google. And the dude above saying who it is has absolutely zero clue of what he speaks of. That and bringing premium info is why he is no longer here.

What is going to help you more? $500k in upgraded carpets in Lasch, or spending that much ($1.5 mil/yr?) extra on the hottest assistant coach in the country that will attract blue chip recruits? No brainer.

According to USA Today, LSU’s OC, Ensminger, makes $800k a year. If LSU tries to get in a bidding war over Brady, would they also feel obligated to raise Ensminger’s salary to be above Brady’s. Or would they think it’s ok to pay a subordinate more than his superior?

Because I can’t imagine LSU being capable of winning a bidding war if they need to raise Ensminger’s salary each time they propose raising Brady’s.

Money is never an issue at LSU

Agreed, win more and you won’t notice the carpeting

“Bidding Wars” between P5 schools are rarely decided based on how much the school is able to pay. Rather, they are decided how much the school is willing to pay. In a heated bidding war, one school eventually offers enough that the other school decides it’s not worth it and looks elsewhere. It’s generally not because they can’t afford it.

LSU and PSU each have athletics budgets close to or in excess of $150million, so they could pay assistants millions more if the school/administration were willing to allow it.

LSU is in the playoffs. PSU is trying to get to the payoffs. Penn State has more incentive to overpay than LSU, imo.

Most coaching searches now have some planned misdirection. Whether that is bad info leaked out by the school or some agent pushing up the bidding war.....it's a dirty game now. What PSU wants and will pay for could be 2 different things. I think the tires are being kicked, but outbidding the $EC isn't a PSU strong point. I'm in the I'll believe it when I see it mode with Brady.

I think luring Brady from LSU to PSU is a pipe dream. He is a savior down there and they will do whatever they need to keep him. PSU doesn’t exactly have a history of hiring big name coaches to their staff.

Just pure speculation but I think Perry.

Joe Brady is not coming to Psu, that would be a down grade from where he is now. Who’s better Lsu or Psu? No contest

I don't think any history before James is relevant in this (or any other) situation.

That said, I have no idea what he plans, and I'll support whatever he decides.

Judge, I always love your optimism! I'm probably like many people on here, I don't even want to think it's a possibility only to be disappointed. Unless you know something we don't. I think matching LSU's offer will not be good enough. They will have to offer a noticeable amount more (200 - 300k?) to even have a chance of getting him. And yes, that's what I've been saying. If you're going to run a clean program and not cheat, then you have to do absolutely everything else at a premier level. Paying Joe Brady a ton of money is sort of like using money to attract recruits legitimately. There's a lot we don't know, like Joe Brady's feelings on the area and if he would even want to come back to Penn State or how CJF feels about him as a first time OC. We are about to find out how serious James and admin are about winning. I think at least offer and make LSU match. If not, it sounds like there's other good candidates out there.

Any thoughts

Reports say LSU is prepared to offer $1.5MM per year and UT is interested in him as well. So do you think PSU will pony up $1.75MM annually?
