Where is Starocci??? Could he move to 184 with Shakur gimpy. I figured with his HS record, he would be ready from Day 1?

Cael has said repeatedly he is trying to redshirt Brooks, Starocci and Beard.
Well, I guess Cael has a choice to make: redshirt a bunch of dudes or compete for a NCAA championship.
I realize they aim for March but I don’t like the forfeit at all. Really needs to consider pulling shirts.
The forfeit hurt but ASU has some talented wrestlers as well. It's November - not March. Time to start another streak.

Shakur will be back probably in Jan, Berge will probably be back by then as well leaving only 125 and 197 as the major holes
To be honest, Berge and Shak coming back will be a big help. No doubt that Beard at this time is an upgrade over Conel. No upgrades at 126 and 149 who are redshirting.
I'm glad people share the lesser-great things on here. There's little worse than an echo chamber of "Everything's fine", especially when it isn't...
But it's November and ASU is a damn good team. Disappointing results on a few, but it could be a hell of a lot worse, and I hope those miscues get corrected.

I have to say, disappointing. 1st loss in 60 duals and immediately we have folks turn up saying our wrestlers suck. We didn't have that years ago during the redshirt season.
Cael HAS punted before, but I don't think this qualifies and we're only a contender with everyone healthy. 133, 157, 165, 174,184 and heavy are definite contenders. 125, 149 and 197 are the weakest spots. If Jarod wins that match this is a win, but he didn't. If we had berge or Shak healthy, it's a win.

Yes, Cael should definitely bench 3 returning national champs and another All-American in order to burn some shirts.

Did the loss suck? Yes it did. It happens, the dead horse has been kicked. We all need to take a deep breath and let the boys absorb it, they’ll learn. Everyone has their own plan on what should happen, let’s leave it to the one who’s in charge and has taken us to the promise land on many occasions. Keep the faith and GO STATE!!!
