Seriously, he only had excruciating pain when his right leg was “straight” and he was in a cradle...TWICE. Didn’t hurt to shoot, scramble etc. Only when the cradle got locked up, his leg was straight and he could see lights on the horizon.

The reality is that AD had no idea he was automatically Forfeiting and giving up the 6 when he did it a second time, so the argument "it makes no sense" makes no sense. AD only plead for "injury stoppage" to the Ref AFTER the cradle was locked both times... AD was desperate as he knew he was about to be decked both times, it worked the first time so he did it again out of sheer desperation.
