PSU - MSU Dual Thread

To clarify, just one HS win.... Red vs Lee was an epic match if you haven't seen it. Center mat, under the lights in front of 12,000+. Red rode Lee most of the 3rd period to take a 6-5 win and preserve an undefeated 4x State Champ HS career. Lee wrestled 3 years and lost only to Stevan Micic as a frosh in the state semifinals and to Red in the final his junior year.

Definitely worth watching ...

Yeah, saw that, and it will be fun. Discounted the Red over Thorn win a little, as it was not a B1G Dual, though it can/will be used by the Seeding Committee as a tie-breaker, at the least. Red has been beaten by Carr (Ill), and Limmex (Pur) recently, as you alluded, and without a marquee match-up the rest of the way, it may be tough for him to reach top-3. Lee, on the other hand, gets both McKenna and Thorn...just the way he wants it, with conference tournament seeding completely within his control.
Lately when posting something about Nick Lee I notice a wry little smile in your writings.

I remember watching the Lee vs. Red match in HS. I think at the time I said that things would be different in college. Hoping to find out soon enough if this is already true.

I admit, I am here on this board because of him. I grew up in IN and always followed wrestling. My dad went to MD and I went to the other Catholic HS. I wrestled my frosh year and was okay, but I was heavy so I got the hell beat out of me by the seniors wrestling 160 - 170. I focused on baseball after that year, but always loved the sport. Moved to Alabama and followed Indiana and Mater Dei wrestling from afar. My nephew got into it at the youth level and was pretty good so I started watching more, making sure I scheduled a trip home when he had a match, etc. That's about the same time the Lee's came into the picture. Unfortunately, too many concussions sidelined my nephew for good, but that combination got me hooked again and I follow it like I live there. I've never met the Lee family, but know several people that know them well and they always spoke highly of the kids. I get a little indirect info that way as well. I have seen them wrestle live a few times and watched many of their matches via internet. Watching them wrestle is a pleasure and following them at Penn St is and will be tons of fun.

So most of my comments will be about Nick and Joe, but I'll chime in on others at times because I love wrestling and PSU makes it easy to enjoy. But if I ever overstep or post something stupid or off, call me out on it. This board belongs to you guys and I am just a happy visitor, hopefully for awhile!

Hey, I'm relatively new to this board, if not to PSU wresting, but as far as I'm concerned, a friend of Nick and Joe is a friend of ours!
