PSU - Nebraska Dual Thread

He stalls on top, didn't add anything to his repertoire, looked to be only a half step ahead of Lambert (to my eye), and gave up another frustrating, untimely reversal.

I have little doubt that he will place top 4, but I think I bought into the hype that he was going to finally win a title. Maybe I'm just not impressed due to my own expectations. He's still Nico. He's still got an insane gas tank with crazy flexibility, great defense, and solid offensive skills...

I guess I just thought I was going to see something different. To me, it's like if Zain came out and wrestled the same way he did his freshman year.

I think it's a bit different IMO. Zain was a true freshman who was still learning, Nico had been in the program for 3 years already before his RS and you kind of knew what you were gonna get from him. Zain had a lot more room for improvement given his physical abilities

Someone explain to me how PSU would be better off with Morelli winning tonight?

Yes, I was rooting for Wilson. This is the best result for PSU. No debate.
I also prefer Rasheed, but that doesn't justify rooting for Morelli to lose. I trust Cael to start the best wrestler at B10s and nationals, whether it's my choice or not, and I want the guys to make his choice difficult by wrestling well.

Weak. Incredibly weak.

Advice I always give people are absolutely certain their position is the correct one. When everyone, or at least pretty much everyone, disagrees with you, maybe it's time to take another look at your position. Not sure why I bother giving that advice as it is pretty much universally ignored by those that are certain they are right about everything. However, I continue to try and hope for the best.

He kinda did the same against Wisconsin, up 12-2 after 1, won 16-2. I'm not too concerned, but it is something to watch.

Wasn't that the dual that he cut his head in and needed stitches? I thought that played a role?

Possibly. I was at that match (my very first!!) and don't remember that, but i'm getting to that age where some things escape me. I remember Bo with a front headlock in the 2nd period and just dangling his "off" arm. I thought maybe he was baitng his opponent, but he never did anything with it. Definitely possible that he was a little dinged.

That would be the one.
