The upper body stuff is great but when it comes down to a tight match he needs a leg attack he can depend on and I don’t think he has 1 yet

second time that the ref stopped the match and didn't give Davis 2 ... I think it was how he was shelving the foot and perhaps twisting it/the knee to complete the single... I don't see the foot twist but there is pressure on the leg/knee. Anyone else see this/comment?

I think he stomped the foot in the quad pod position. Might not be legal in FS. The only thing I can think of. Just glad to see it's nothing serious with Davis. Even if not 100%

I might eat my words on this, and of course Lilledahl's body of work far exceeds Desmond's, but not sure there is a ton of separation at this point. Desmond looks excellent. Doubt they meet in this tournament, however.

This has been my impression thus far. He looks to be much more confident in his shots.
