Umm ... we did land a 2x national champ. He just didn't stick around.Howard was our first blue chip level recruit for 125 in 10 years (since Nico in 2011) that has stuck around and we continue to get hosed there. I just don't understand our bad luck...
Cael not recruiting as well.Barr looks very good. He also looks like he will benefit a LOT from learning to scramble in our room.
Cassar's surgery in time proved unsuccessful as well. I hate to say it but we need a blue chip insurance policy down low. Shoulders are never the same when it comes to wrestling. Granted I am a bit confused, was this a knee or shoulder or both today?I wonder if he can go the Cassar route and get that special surgery?
I'm loathe to play doctor usually, but this was pretty clearly shoulder and only shoulder--though from the awkward way Robbie's arm was draped after, it could look like he was holding his knee, but I think that's just because his shoulder was dislocated and he couldn't move his arm.Granted I am a bit confused, was this a knee or shoulder or both today?
Steen up again on 11 vs. Guanajuato, up 6-0 w/ 1 min left in the first. Gets a TD and a turn to win 10-0
I was so happy when we got Robbie. He has greatness within. Shoulder injuries are second to none with wrestling. I really hope he gets one fully healthy season in blue and white, but we have to temper our expectations for a full 4 years for sure. As bad as this is for us as fans, the heart bleeds for Robbie. I really hope his personal legacy isn't what could have been, but what he has overcome to reach the Pinnacle. What a great kid, I want him to have his chance.I'm loathe to play doctor usually, but this was pretty clearly shoulder and only shoulder--though from the awkward way Robbie's arm was draped after, it could look like he was holding his knee, but I think that's just because his shoulder was dislocated and he couldn't move his arm.
How is Howard an example of that -- because he shirted this past year?Very sad about Robbie. Unfortunately, just another example that shows the folly of shirting your best guy at any given weight because, “we don’t need him to win”. Injuries can happen at any time and be devastating.
I want this kid to be healthy and wrestle so much man. He is a lot of fun to watch and wrestles very hard. He's got the best attitude. I wish he could just stay good. If he think he can be back for the season great, but I really hope he doesn't need surgery.
No, I’m thinking of people advocating to shirt Levi this year because they think we don’t need him to win another team title. If Levi wants to go, let him go.How is Howard an example of that -- because he shirted this past year?
Was there a challenge? I see 11-2 still wrestling.Levi 13-2 TF about 1 min into the 2nd.
Correction, last 2 pts waived off, he's **only** up 11-2.
Man I hope we see him open up in Folkstyle. He could do damage at 141.Bartlett 10-0 TF over Britton, 1:15 into the match.
I"ve heard just the opposite.McGowan is gonna be a 33, I think. But Davis could be 25 longterm
Damn. Excellent tourney for Barr though.Barr down 1-0 to Thompson after 1, on a shot clock violation.
Lost 3-1 to Thompson in the last 5 sec.
