Agreed--this will only make Allar better and we can still win this.Vital experience for Allar though. I hated it that Northwestern only had 20,000 people. To quiet to help for these types of games. Need the hostile environment experience. Hopefully they can pull through this one.
Just so I understand…did they miss a bunch of penalties on us too? Or have we played a really clean game, but OSU should have been called for an inordinate number of penalties? The level of competition isn't relevent....the rules are sorry bud. I get it you like the taste of referee boots but I'll continue to call it out when undeniable penalties are ignored for one side and not for the other.
Not sure but possibly a concussion. Didn't look like a lower body injury or a shoulder. What was the Chop injury?
Bushy with the intel…lolIt was a 3rd Down - and McCord was about to get sacked when the Official threw the flag on contact that they ignored throughout the game when PSU receivers were ridden.... The Official knows that Defensive Holding is an automatic 1st Down - if you watch the replay, McCord is running for his life toward sideline and is obviously about to get sacked when the Official throws the flag. It was a complete 3rd Down freebie 1st Down bailout by the joke b1g clowns yet again. To claim that play was called consistently with how PSU's Defensive Secondary has been called is ridiculous - btw, the reason they took so long to make the call is that the loser official was trying to claim PI, which is impossible when the ball was never thrown. The Ref had to tell him he needed to change his bailout bullshit call to Defensive Holding.
Also, would like to see the tight ends used in the flats a bit more in the second half. Will be a challenge for the defense to hold up without Chop, have to hope KLS is ok.
I think this is huge--him going up to the line pretending to take a snap under center than backing out isn't putting him in a spot to succeed. Ohio State isn't worried about it.That pre-snap crap needs to stop. Allar isn't relaxed and focused at the snap. This needs to change.
Well said--I think this is the keyPenn State vs Ohio State: Quick halftime thoughts
Penn State in the first half averaged five yards per carry including 7.5 yards per carry from Nicholas Singleton. Thepennstate.rivals.com
A lot of momentum changed on that one play - when we could have had an easy first down to keep their defense on the fieldFranklin just screwed up that series. Just sneak on 3rd down. Can't make mistakes like that against Ohio St
And they wasted a timeout
He can run. But I know it’s live or die with drewHonest question--if Allar is struggling with his limited experience why do people think Beau (which no meaningful playing time) is going to perform?
And Urban laughed about it. Urban often mistakenly saying “we” when referring to OSU…yea he’s not biased.Brady Quinn just basically ripped Yurcich
Honestly, we’ve all seen this show before. Unless the PSU offense does a Jekyll and Hyde and suddenly comes out in the second half on fire, this game isn’t changing much. PSU will get the occasional FG. OSU will eventually right the ship and the PSU D will get gassed giving up some late score to put the game away. I hate to say it, but this is Groundhog Day when Penn St and Ohio St play.We may need another defensive td in the 2nd half

I get it. Allar still hasn't turned the ball over. We're down 4 on the road against Ohio State. We can still win with him plus this is huge for his development. Allar's going to be special. People just were expecting too much from him in his first start against a really good/great/elite teamHe can run. But I know it’s live or die with drew

He’s employed still at OSUAnd Urban laughed about it. Urban often mistakenly saying “we” when referring to OSU…yea he’s not biased.
Okay, thank you for the update.Likely concussion--helmet to helmet hit.

So you don't have me on ignore. You're wrong but you typically are BushyThe OL wrapped his arms around Chop and dropped his helmet on him - it is not legal for an OL to effectively tackle a Defensive Rusher. OL is not allowed his hands/arms outside the shoulder, replay CLEARLY shows duhO$U wrapping his arms around Chop as he drops his helmet onto him - it was a BLATANTLY illegal block, no flag, go figure.
Do you think he was purposely trying to hurt Chop? The OL wrapped his arms around Chop and dropped his helmet on him - it is not legal for an OL to effectively tackle a Defensive Rusher.
