Well that was a mental lapse on Beard, I have no problem with the stall calls they were warranted based on the rules
Yep. Correct call. Made no attempt to return him to the mat. He looked great on his feet … sucks as a brain fart cost him that boutWell that was a mental lapse on Beard, I have no problem with the stall calls they were warranted based on the rules
He was all American last year.I like Michael and think he’s very talented. Unfortunately he deserved to lose that one. Gave up that escape with a little time left in the first period, and then got ridden the whole second period. He needs to clean those things up if he’s going to ever be an All American.
ref is worse than Rivera. That has to be the worst reffed match I've ever seen.Just when I thought big ten officiating couldn't get any worse, this clown says "hold my beer". Embarrassing. Beard is better than the #3 guy in the nation.
i tried to explain this when the rumors of his transfer first started haha. it was funny seeing some on here thinking he was going to come in and get some psu magic dust sprinkled on him and light up the scoreboard. he’s always been a win ugly guy and he does a lot of it.
Well he is an all American so….I like Michael and think he’s very talented. Unfortunately he deserved to lose that one. Gave up that escape with a little time left in the first period, and then got ridden the whole second period. He needs to clean those things up if he’s going to ever be an All American.
Sorry, he rolled through and didn’t warrant 2 stall calls there. One I’ll give you. But not 2.You can debate the stall calls against Beard, but the real killers were giving up the late escape in the first period, and getting ridden the entire second period.
Still, overall a very decent performance by Beard against a top five guy in the weight class.
Think he was actually hit twice for stalling in that exchange, once before they went off and once for "pushing him off." Ended 6-4. Just horrendous.Beard 2-1 after one. Takes bottom in 2nd.
Shultz putting on a tough ride. Beard in danger of getting called for stalling. And then he gets called. Beard in danger of getting called again. And then gets called. 2-2 now. Beard with head on mat throughout. 2nd period ride out by Shultz.
2-2 after two. 1:22 RT for Shultz.
Shultz takes bottom to start third. Beard gets RT under a minute. Beard then cuts him with 1:30 to go. 3-2 Shultz. Beard with a deep shot and quick finish! 4-3 Beard! Beard hit for stalling when standing holding Shultz leg. Now 4-4. 30 secs to go on restart. Beard cuts him. 5-4 Shultz. Beard aggressive. But Shultz goes full on defense and only gets called as time expired.

Lol. He’s already an AA and clearly out wrestled #3. 2 takedowns to none. Never saw that happen and see a guy lose. He needs to clean those things up if he’s going to ever be an All American.
His head was in the mat the entire second period. Hard to argue with the two stall calls in second. On the third stall call, he did just walk him out. I know he had two TDs, but when I think about three stall calls against him, it’s hard to say not warranted.I like Michael and think he’s very talented. Unfortunately he deserved to lose that one. Gave up that escape with a little time left in the first period, and then got ridden the whole second period. He needs to clean those things up if he’s going to ever be an All American.

None. No way. That's pretty terrible. No way Beard earned 3 stall calls in that match the ways it's been called all day.
Three stall calls, right? How do you hit a wrestler, with the only two take downs in the match, with 4 stall calls, two within seconds of each other to give the match to Nebraska? Ridiculous!
Four. Got hit with two in rapid succession to make it 5-4 before the escape. Said he pushed him off.Three stall calls, right?

Easy you can be scoring points but still be called for stalling in certain situations, yesterday my son won 11-4 in a match with the only takedowns but when he ran the kid out he got called which was correctHow do you hit a wrestler, with the only two take downs in the match, with 4 stall calls, two within seconds of each other to give the match to Nebraska? No, 4, two earlier and two in third, unless i am wrong, someone above did play by play with same count.Three stall calls, right?
I understand you can score and stall, Beard did not stall that many times. You will never convince me he did.Easy you can be scoring points but still be called for stalling in certain situations, yesterday my son won 11-4 in a match with the only takedowns but when he ran the kid out he got called which was correct
I'll split the crow with you. Brined and grilled good for you?I’m here to eat crow. He blows as bad as Rivera.
I agree.Well that was a mental lapse on Beard, I have no problem with the stall calls they were warranted based on the rules
Shultz had a escape in 1st and two escapes in 3rd. If there were four stalls, he’d have 6 points instead of five.Four. Got hit with two in rapid succession to make it 5-4 before the escape. Said he pushed him off.
Yes, it ended with 6Shultz had a escape in 1st and two escapes in 3rd. If there were four stalls, he’d have 6 points instead of five.
My bad. You are correct.Shultz had a escape in 1st and two escapes in 3rd. If there were four stalls, he’d have 6 points instead of five.
