The O should get some serious love. After that first half they coulda folded the tent ⛺️ and went home. But they fought through their issues, adapted, and came back biggly. Lessons learned should serve them well in future tight games.
I feel like I need to drink now, Too much for the heart week 1.
I noticed that we did not use the Tight End, which was very disappointing. Does Yurcich not use the tight end in his game plans? The offensive line is still a disaster. Clifford did show that he can air the ball out when he has time to throw.

It's about the only thing they did well. Luckily Wisc kept losing Dotson on his routes.

He isn’t prone to. Of course, he hasn’t had a TE room like ours. He did go to Strange inside the red zone, but he just couldn’t hold onto it.

Wisconsin is going to have one of the better secondaries we will see. Unless they decide to double him, he isn't done. Leonard did what he had to. Take away the run and blitz. We also played turnover free.
That was game one boys, on the road against a top 15 team. A few kinks to work out but definitely a sweet win!
I wonder how much pull alverez had in scheduling that game to give the badgers a leg up in the polls with a win.
When I took a stress test a couple years ago, they got my heart rate up to the required number, whatever that was. But the Dr. monitoring me asked me if I could go higher. What? He was supposed to be the one that knew what my heart could take. If I knew I wouldn't have come to the hospital for the test to start with. He ramped me up further, then ended it. He left and I was then cooling down talking to the nurse, and she said he always does that. That Dr. must have been in charge of the officiating today.....
He hit him with his shoulder not his helmet though. Big10 refs suck trying to steal another game.
I think they saw 3-4 targets. Tough throws. Was not a lack of trying.
So the Offensive Coordinator really made adjustments at half. That was the difference IMO.

Didn’t even review it to check for targeting, only reviewed the fumble. Meanwhile the wr is knocked out.
TOs were correct clock management - only chance PSU has, if Wisconsin had scored on that series (they had 1st-&-goal at 2 yard line before fumbling on 1st down and losing 5 yards).
Agreed. To hold up against a big o line when you’re on the field for most of first half is impressive. Not seeing guys getting pushed downfield like we could see in prior years when rotating

Yeah he did it right. The fumble/keep could not have come at a worse time as Wisconsin could have gone up 1 with a minute left. and the defense was Just amazing and we haven’t seen a clutch defense in a while.

Wisc has one major issue in the secondary, that shitty safety - that guy makes Asorino look like an ALL-NFL player
The D played lights out today. I have no issues with them.
I was responding to the comment about the offense.. As I said, if it wasn't for Wisc losing Dotson several times in coverage I don't know if they score.
Clifford missed Dotson for 6 at least twice...that's the one negative I see here.
Give them some time. I want impressed but this was a tall order. About as tough of an opener as we ever had and we won. We needed 11. They scored 16.

I thought he would wait another play to see what happened. easy to second guess now, but had he been able to avoid it, when Wisky got the ball back, it would have been 35 seconds on the clock. that would have eliminated the exciting end.
